Twitter: Cowboys expected to pursue Saints' CB Alontae Taylor

We never get saints games but I recall him being fast and had a game with a bunch of sacks

No idea if he’s slot outside or better in man or zone lol

That’s all I can tell ya

They certainly are going to sign some of.these players. Probably a corner, safety, edge, and linebacker. That is at least 4.
Ok.

And do you care who they sign there?

Or will you celebrate any signing like usual?

If they sign the worst CB, safety, edge and LB will you be here making posts about how great they’ve done? Or admit they just signed JAGs?

Genuinely curious.

I am not 100% sure on this.

But pretty sure he was solid inside, Stats nose dived when he had to play outside corner
The opposite actually. His rookie year was his only coverage year, he played 575 snaps on the boundary and 22 in the slot. Gave up a completion % of 45 and a QBR of 58. After that season he played most of his snaps in the slot and up completions % around 66% to up 70% and QBR from 98.5 to 117.9

Appreciate it. Everything I’ve read has been from the Saints board. So wasn’t 100% sure what I read

Al Harris and Nashon Wright were together here for three years and he was nothing. Not saying you are wrong, or that Harris wasn't good on our staff, but sometimes a player just has an outlier good year.
3 of his pick 6s were definitely horrible throws by QBs, staring down WRs with Bland just breaking on the ball. The Stafford one you can make a case was a good play on Bland, but back-side shows the WR breaking outside, while Stafford was throwing deeper on the inside, meaning the throw was bad. But Bland played it pretty well.

I think Bland is on borrowed time tbh. I think they are getting out of that contract as soon as the can
I thought Al Harris's mentorship and masterclass coaching had transformed him into an elite CB?......not to mention the demise of Diggs.

The legend lives on.

We should sign him, and I hope we do. Alonte Taylor would be an upgrade over the scrubs we have on the team right now. That includes Bland.

Dallas needs guys like this. He is a solid NFL player which they have far too few of.
They need to sign a LARGE handful of these guys this off-season.

The Nahshon Wright talk is not complicated. He can play press zone and fits those types of schemes very well but cannot play man or off zone very well.
It just so happens that press zone is in style big time right now. And big CBs like Tacario will be in style as well. This is what Richard Sherman did well in Seattle.
They've just tweaked it a bit from press cover 1/3 to more press quarters/2/3/cloud.

60 graded PFF guys are replacement level. Dallas was playing guys in the 40s and 50s all over that defense last year.
They need like 3-4 of these guys for the defense in the 60s and hope they end up as package guys.

So many pursuits. Jerry and Cap Boy are the best at pursuing.
