Is there a crime problem with Valley Ranch area?

Or is it the "it's been 30 years and we are bored here" rule?

Maybe there is a tax advantage to spending money on moving the facility. Like when stores and restaurants build a new structure right next door to the old one or in this case across town.

I actually posted something about this awhile ago, but it's all about upgrades...and when trying to get free agents and whatnot, Cowboys facilities are outdated.

-------------------------

The franchise is still committed to Irving, Texas, where the practice facility is housed, but would like to either build another one somewhere else in the city or move to another part of North Texas.

Among some of the things the Cowboys are looking for, include upgrades to a full-scale lunch room, bigger weight room, practice bubble, larger office and locker room space.

This time, can we make sure the turf is a pretty green, like in Baltimore or Cincinnati?

The field has a bluish tint, which is ugly especially in person.

VR is huge I don't see why they just don't update it. It sits on a ton of land. My house was on Cowboys parkway and Meredith Ct. My window faced the facility and from the 2nd floor you still couldn't see anything because of the trees and the field was still a ways away. Just sounds like maybe they are trying to get Irving to kick in on the rebuild. I would say if they moved Valley Ranch is going to lose some income revenue.

if there is room then really there is no reason to move. Jerruh is probably trying to shake down the city.

Don't know why I am so concerned about this topic so much, but I hope they move the facility to Arlington for some reason. I don't like the city of Frisco :lmao2:. Place seems real generic and ultra suburban to me:puke: .
i like valley ranch, but if you are moving seems like arlington which would put you closer to the stadium would be a logical location

One of my 17 personalities noticed painted concrete block walls in the pictures of our draftees checking in at the Ranch.

I think there is a quote about the Emperor Augustus finding Rome built of brick, and he left it in marble.

I would like to see them do what they do in Arizona with the natural grass being transported in before games.

YR

Yeah, Arizona has it figured out.

Don't they have a backup field too?

Well, when you think about the number of games played on the field since it's inception, it *almost* makes sense.

Cowboys, college games, high school playoffs... While the stadium is still fairly new, maybe the field couldn't hold up to the number of events.

They use different fields for the High School/College games and the Cowboy games. The turf is rolled up and switched between events.

My guess is that they made some improvements.

I think Frisco would be perfect.

Las Colinas isn't really an option imo. Irving would be the LC alternative/tie in.

Frisco is probably the leading candidate because of available land and massive tax base.

I think it is Frisco and/or Arlington. Unless some place north West hops in the mix.

Don't know if it was mentioned already, but Cooperstein mentioned this morning that Jerry owns/recently bought a big piece of land in Frisco.

Jerry has owned land out there forever.

He gave/sold Buerlein a house in Starwood out there back many moons ago.

Ask the texans about that. They had huge issues. Now they pull the grass out to give it proper lighting. Really not worth it.

Hmmmm, up here in Colorado we grow all kinds of grass indoors and outdoors. I guess most of it comes originally from imported seeds because they keep calling it Hawiian Sensimilla, Acapulco (gold), Oaxacon, Panama red just to name a few.

I just (crack) myself up. No pun

Why do you think Google street view blurs out the 1977 SB at the Valley Ranch entrance?

Haha weird. I saw one yesterday of the street view car running over a cat and then blurring it out in the next frame. :laugh2:
Maybe they are Broncos fans?
