Cowboys Face Another Test In Atlanta
http://profootballtalkline.com/nfl/...10422/cowboys-face-another-test-atlanta.html/
In the crucial five game stretch coming out of the bye week, the Atlanta Falcons are next up for the Dallas Cowboys. Three straight wins is nice, but another big game awaits Dallas this week. Beating the Falcons in Atlanta would have a cumulative effect on the playoff push for the Cowboys, but there are challenges to winning this game.
First and foremost, the health and availability of the Cowboys is in question. It was a big win against the Kansas City Chiefs, but it came at a cost. Dez Bryant and Tyron Smith didn’t practice Wednesday, and Terrance Williams is banged up as well. All three are likely to be questionable this week and if they do go, they could be playing at less than 100%. They could also be without Ezekiel Elliott, whose fate rests in the hands of the courts once again. Those are four big names that might not be able to suit up and it would especially hurt if Smith and Zeke cannot go. The Cowboys proved they could win without Bryant last season, but if they are without Dez and Williams as well, it could be an issue.
The good news, however, is that the Cowboys have a stable full of runners and all of them can play. The better news is that Dak Prescott will be playing and he is the most important piece of the puzzle. Even without all of these players, Dallas will fight with the guys they have and the team still can beat the Falcons as long as Dak is in the lineup. Atlanta is 4-4 and their season in on the brink of slipping away. They will be at home and playing as a desperate group, that’s a dangerous combination. The Cowboys will have to continue to play their best football in order to beat the current NFC Champions. The Falcons boast an offense with dangerous weapons and the quarterback who can help the unit explode at any minute; it will be a tough task for Dallas’ defense to shut them down...
