Does anyone know what the state of JJ's and the Cowboys financal outlook is? I know Dallas is one of if not the biggest market draw for Merchandise sales, but JJ and the financing for the new stadium took a hit with the economy, and was trying to raise funds to complete the stadium. and Seeing as how JJ sank a ton of his own money into the new stadium, I'm wondering how things are on the financial front for the owner of this team? And for all those that just think because it's the cowboys and JJ that everything is fine, heck it may be, but with this economy it wouldn't suprise me one bit if he was conserving his and the teams money...

I have seen no reports regarding Jerry or any other owner of the NFL. These guys are worth Billions, so they should be okay.

I did see that Dallas was $ 14m below the cap after a few cuts and players leaving in FA. We probably need more to sign all draft picks and get Ware signed to new deal.

Cut the following players will help big time -- Greg Ellis and Roy Williams. And if Kevin Burnett and Tank Johnson leave that will also help the cap.

I read shortly after the Stadium was approved that JJ had sank majority of his own money into the stadium, and sold off some of his companies to do so, I also remember a few months back JJ and BofA had a meeting with many banks trying to get the rest of the financing in place for the stadium becasue BofA wasn't going to be able to carry all of the loan once it got off the construction loan. Does anyone know if they ever got the financing taken care of?

Actually I misspoke a little bit. There will always be an NFL, for the very Reason the Romans held the games. In times of trouble the citizenry has to have something to keep its mind off the harsh realities of the day. For if they didnt they may well go on a pitchfork and torches crusade!.....:laugh2:

Me too brother. Right till the bitter end. Like that scene from Rainman when Tom Cruise had to knock on the door of a random house so his brother "Hoffman" could watch his mandatory nightly episode of Jeopardy.!! That will be ME! Please please, can I just have your tv for 3 hours for the Cowboys game!...LOL
