I think it's fair to compare where we are now to where we were in 2007.

Both seasons we were coming off 13 win seasons , best record in conference with much hope with a new franchise QB.

Yes, both ended in disappointment but in much different fashion .

Parcells had influenced the building of that core of talent to be a consistent contender for years to come similar to the influence Garrett has had.

The biggest difference of course is Garrett will be able to continue his influence and hopefully sustain whereas Bill was ran off or ran out early on the verge of greater results .

That team was sounder on defense than this team but this offense is greater than that offense was. I truly feel overall this team has more talent and needs less to reach the next level plus our QB is not battling the blunder phantoms and "never" screams from the critics.

We certainly don't have as great of coach as we had in Bill but I feel our overall coaching staff is now better than what we had with Wade. I definitely have more optimism moving forward with this core of young talent . If last year is any indication this offense should carry us for several years.

Yes.
While most good rookie QBs get used Chevys, Dak's first car was a new Mercedes...on offense anyway.
Very, very fortunate young man.
And he he knows what to do with it.

Three pro bowl lineman with many years ahead of them, and maybe the leagues best RB at only 21 years old. Good enough receiving group too.

This team is much younger and I agree that they are positioned better than post 2007.

Have to work on that D though

This offense is much more balanced with a much better RB. We had a good Oline but not great like now. We will see what happens with the D.

Tougher schedule, we lost the back end bums in free agency(secondary...long overdue), the garbage teams in our division have gotten better, we might as well throw in the towel on the upcoming season. We're doomed - Zoners

If this D is not much better it means nothing, right now our secondary is a absolute disaster

Getting rid of Romo instantly gives us a better team over 2007.
Massive short bus tard alert:lmao:

Good news is all those years of hating can start dying down now.
You didnt get you dream of getting Maziel, and Dak was not your top choice, but we did end up getting him anyway.
And thats a good thing
