The Seahawks got screwed a bit more. They also have two divisional rivals during those two weeks. Only difference is that they have to go on the road to SF on turkey day.

That said. It's really stupid to have us (or the seahawks) facing two divisional rivals in a short week.

Scratch that. Thursday games are stupid period.

having to play a prime time game less than 96 hours from Turkey day is brutal! Especially after having to fly cross country. hopefully the Giants are terrible so that game gets flexed.

This really upsets my scenario for a Super Bowl run.

Back in the day, I remember when the league tried to showcase the Game of the Week on Monday nights. It looks like the Thursday night games are going to eclipse MNF this season. I agree that Thursday night games are stupid. In my opinion, the best games outside of Sundays belong on Monday nights. Still, the Thursday night offerings are looking like favorable matchups worthy of Game of the Week matchups. So, I guess I'm kinda torn about the whole weekly Thursday night games crapola thingy. :)

They're favorable matchups for sure, but I feel like they're wasted.

We like watching SF v SEA because it's hard hitting, physical football. Ask them to play on only 3 days rest and you're not going to get what you want.

Figure in the fact that the Giants game is also a road game (I think) makes it even a little shorter still

Dallas to NY is not exactly cross country. It is only a 3 hr to 31/2 hr plane ride I believe but I do get your point. We just have to play with the cards that we have been dealt. It is what it is.

If one is dealt bad cards, then you just have to be the better player and bluff....hopefully Garrett is a better poker player than Kelly....LOL

Anyway, with the bye week before the giants game. And already knowing everything about both the giants and the Eagles. They can prepare and game plan for both teams.

So preparation in that short week shouldn't be that big of an issue. It will be health and injuries. Be good in both of those and it will be fine. Be in shape to begin with.
As for being tired, drained, or whatever. That flight will not take it out of you. They are paid millions to be in shape. And most should recover to play. If they can't then they shouldn't be on the team.

I don't particularly like it either, but it's the way it is. I expected us to be on the road before the T-day game, just not at night.
Maybe it will be flexed out.

Ha ha haaa hahaha ha!
The exact same thought was entering my mind right before I read your post.

A2R has a sickness and he needs an intervention. Preferably one including Danny Devito in the process.

The Eagles play a style of football so different from other teams, a short week of prep is definitely not something we would of asked for,

To make matters worse, the Eagles play an AFC team the week before, so the coaches could decide to spend more time on the game plan against us.

At least the weekend after the Bears is a mini bye

Don't give them too much credit...simply a lot of no huddle is not reinventing the NFL

It could have been worse. The Thanksgiving game is against a team we already know pretty well.
