Cowboys have lot more hands on info about the Bears then most fans think:
1. Wade Phillips was DC of the Chargers for 3 years & film study of their season opening win against the Bears will help in his game plan.
2. In 06 Jason Garret was QB coach with the Dolphins (2-6) in 2006 when they beat the Bears (7-1) 31-13. It was a great Miami defensive performance which won the game. Starter QB Joey Harrington went 16/32 137 3 TDs 2 INTs; numerous overthrows/underthrows); Grossman was even worse.
3. Backup QB Brad Johnson was Vikings starting QB for last 2 years so he played against the Bears 4 times. Despite losing both games to the Bears in 06, he certainly can give Garrett/Romo a birdseye view of Bear defense and how to attack it which even film might not show. Also tidbits to Phillips re Grossman's tendencies, favorites, etc.
4. OC of Bears is Norv Turner's brother; he also runs Norv's offense. Garrett also a disciple of Norv Turner & others so he might be able provide info to Phillips which our defense can take advantage of. Of course we also run roughly same Norv Turner offense in Dallas (with some serious tweaks) & Bears practice against it most days.
5. Doubt Tank Johnson able to provide much.
