Yet they continue to sign no one while the free agent pool is rapidly dwindling. It's like they have some stupid rule where no matter what they won't sign any outside free agents until after the first week of free agency. We've seen this every year now for as long as I can remember. At least in past years we had the excuse that we legitimately could not afford anyone and we didn't lose half of our roster.

What was the point of creating all this cap space? Also why get rid of Collins? We don't need that cap space anymore and he isn't going to net much in a trade. Another roster hole for no apparent reason.

Instead of signing one or two players who could actually have an impact, it seems we will yet again sign a ton of JAGS to low contracts and cut half of them before Week 1.

My guess is that we're also playing a bit of a wait and see approach hoping other teams use their space for some guys that we might be able to get at a cheaper value. There's also a few peeps like Kearse who seem likely to return provided we aren't totally lowballing them.

Jane Slater reported the Cowboys don't think they can beat the Rams for Von Miller... meanwhile, the Cowboys have FAR more cap room than the Rams.

Yeah she should have said they "won't" beat the Rams for Von Miller. They clearly can they just refuse to budge on their lowball offers no matter what.

You mean you don't know? We don't even like our own players.

If I were Von, I'd want to come to the Cowboys and win a ring. Three teams with rings under the sky. 7 rings for Brady in his hall of stone...

Dak is only counting 19 million against the cap this year (because they doubled down on their mistakes and restructured). Next year it’s 49, then 52. So the cap space isn’t what it seems.

The Cowboys are keeping that cap space plus next year's bump in the cap available for a guy that's going to demand that he calls his own shots next year (ala Bill Parcells). That guy is Sean Payton. They have zero interest in winning this season. Every move they've made screams that they have no desire to compete this year. What's going to be hilarious is when Payton goes somewhere else.

Lol, the Cowboys will pretty much use all of their cap space and they have a lot of space and a lot of players to chose from.

Guess the Bills thought they could beat the Rams.
