Ladies and gentlemen, it is true. Your Dallas Cowboys have the No. 1 rushing offense in the entire league. A "worst-to-first" type of leap transformation.

The Cowboys are No. 1 in the NFL in total rushing yards.

The Cowboys are No. 1 in the NFL in total rushing attempts.

The Cowboys are No. 4 in the NFL in yards-per-carry-average.

The Cowboys are currently on pace for the 3rd-highest-rushing season in franchise history (on pace for 2,640 yards; surpassed only by the 1978 and 1981 seasons.)

The Cowboys are averaging 165 rushing yards per game, more than double their average of 79 per game two seasons ago.

I doubt that's where we end the season as Romo gets healthier and back in his routine but we should certainly be top 5 at the very least.

Crazy transformation from last year. I really can't believe how much dedication to the run we've shown, even with this line.

Does anyone here feel like if Murray should get hurt, all the pundits will talk about how we are in trouble but that we have a security blanket only we know about. I'm speaking of Ryan Williams, running behind this offense line. Based on what we saw in pre-season running with the second and third teams.

I don't think we miss a beat.

Please just stop!!! We had a functional o-line last year too but Garrett was still in control of the offense no matter what title Callahan had.

This is the offensive line last year. Maybe you forgot that the Cowboys had to bring in Brian Waters last year because the guard play was so bad. Waters ended up getting hurt and the OL was very inconsistent week to week. But please continue in your denial...

Please we abandoned the run last year even when we were running down their throats and had big leads. See the Green Bay game as an example. If Garrett doesn't blow that we are in the playoffs.

I agree the Cowboys abandoned the run, and I agree that too often it happened during the season, but a big part of that had to do with the OL inconstancy (as well as the coaching relying on the pass too often).

It is what it is we are able to run the ball, because we have the horses with which to do it and last year the Cowboys just were not as efficient running the ball.

We had a talented line last year too but a different person in charge of the offense.

I think we were in the top 5 last season in terms of points/offensive drive, weren't we? I know it's fun watching the running game work, but I think getting better defensive play has been the bigger difference, overall.

I hate to be a downer, but we were pretty hyped after week three last season, too, irrc, after beating the Giants opening weekend and then spanking the Rams pretty bad in week three. There's still a long way to go this season.

Were they not number one even before they played last night?
