And i'll disagree.

Last year wasn't the first time we saw what a Jason Garrett ran offense will eventually lead to.

The playcalling IS making everything better.

One could also state that a lack of concerted effort in Europe to acquire large scale desalination and use of solar power, has led to a dependence upon Middle Eastern and Russian oil.

A well structured coaching staff exists today, and Jason Garrett put it together. Both with an excellent Offensive Coordinator and an excellent Defensive Coordinator.

I guess a case for extensive off shore wind generations could be made as well...I know, holding out for deep core lava generated turbines...ah, good selection, if a sustainable conveyance could be maintained for the molten lava.

And yet, last year we were fourth in the league overall in terms of points/offensive series. This year? Third. Hooray, playcalling!!!

Defensively? We were 30th last year in terms of points given up per series. This year so far? 11th.

Note: thanks, percy, for the data. Here's his post, which I'm referencing.

We are scoring as much or slightly more and keeping our defense fresh. A fresh defense is good. I know Offensive yards and Offensive TOP are meaningless in the "advanced stat" world to a Defense but in reality, on game day it means a lot. Not everything can be measured in stat differential.

The Play calling has changed from pass first to set up more passing > to Run to setup Play action pass.

We are more balanced and as a result both sides of the ball look better.

The defense isn't very good this year either but i'd bet the offense has way more Time of Possession this year then we did last year.

Our offense is no longer so Romo dependent. We can actually call good plays and get teams off balance.

Playactions, screens, finding matchups... It's just night and day better from what it was.

We are 3rd in TOP this year vs 15th last year.

Please just stop!!! We had a functional o-line last year too but Garrett was still in control of the offense no matter what title Callahan had.

I agree, We made What? 1 Big new addition to the line? Now we are light years better than last year?

I give credit to Linehan

Having a talented offensive line is the main reason why we have the number one rushing attack.

Exactly the OLine is the DIFFERENCE in the NFL, refer a look to Tom Brady 2014 thus far with out it, compare Romos career with a talented OL.

Trenches Win PERIOD

You guys keep saying "just one" offensive lineman, as if that isn't a big deal. There are only five guys on the line. Do the math. Also, Free performs better when he has strong guard play next to him (see his performance when Waters was in the lineup).

So, yes, it is very conceivable that "just one lineman" can make a drastic improvement to the line.
