The Cowboys are continuing to evaluate each and every prospect that the team will consider during the NFL draft, from the clear first rounders to some of the hidden guys that can be found later in the draft.

One of those potential diamonds in the rough is former Bowling Green wide receiver Roger Lewis, who had a private workout with the Cowboys this week, according to WTOL-11 sports reporter Jordan Strack.

—While polling teams on background information for wide receivers, I learned that three teams have Bowling Green wide receiver Roger Lewis off their boards. Lewis, who was charged with two counts of rape as a senior in high school, is an interesting study in how teams alter their draft boards for off-field issues.

Lewis was acquitted on one charge, but a mistrial was declared on the second charge after the jury couldn't come to a consensus. Lewis pleaded guilty to falsifying a police report before a new trial and was given three years' probation.

Developing receiver who warrants a 3rd day selection. Can contribute in 3-wideout sets in his career in the right setting. Knows how to use his speed in route running to set up a corner, though most of his game is outside the hashes. Nice skill set to continue to improve and surprise, but probably needs time to refine his skills. Prospect with the talent to be a 3rd day steal. Off the field problems are major concern that must be addressed in the interview process. Major boom or bust prospect with playmaking talent, though still raw in many respects. Top 150-200 prospect. - Draft Insiders Digest

Did the same thing with Green-Beckham last year.

He had a 4 year sexual relationship with the girl since they were 14. At 18 he says he decided to leave her for another girl and she accused him of rape.

One charge was said to have taken place on a friends couch, and another in the back of a car.He was acquitted of one and plead down the other for a misdemeanor conviction and probation.

I'm not saying he's innocent or that I have a dog in this fight, I'm just saying the word rape is extremely powerful and I'm not 100% sure this guy is a rapist.

I could be wrong, but after reading the basic facts of the case I don't feel too down on the Boys for checking him out.

Saying someone is a domestic abuser is powerful as well, no matter how much evidence there was.
