Cowboys Inactives; what's going on with Blue?

Going to have to reach a little higher in the draft. Teams find them in the last day rounds, but not sure I remember a good Cowboys RB who was selected on the last day in the Jerry Era. MB3, Julius Jones, Tony Pollard, Zeke, Demarco Murray, seems like 3rd round is our sweet spot average when you combine them all.

Jerry, like a lot of us, was suckered by his speed.....lol

uh- hes just not that good and has fumbling problems....he doesn't have the same level of speed differentiation when playing at the pro level and it is pretty clear he isnt special.
His shoes are tho.

Give Blue another year. They said he's immature. Immature 5th rounder doesn't really scream GameDay active. We'll see next year......imo his last chance.

Malik Davis is up from the PS and Dallas probably likes his special teams work over Blue's.

He’s not good? Dude wasn’t that good at Texas and apparently has a work ethic problem.
Texas still the country club atmosphere it used to be? Some interesting RBs used to come out of that college.

I think Blue pissed off somebody on the coaching staff. I mean, they keep trotting out Murray and he's terrible. Can't imagine his football IQ is better than Blue"'s. But, what the heck do I know.
I hate to sound mean, but he is either stupid ( low football IQ ) or has a poor work ethic, or both. This explains why he was never a full-time starter at Texas, with world class speed

It’s not surprising. Blue’s pre-draft scouting profile clearly mentioned these problems which is exactly why he was a Day 3 pick:
  • Ball Security: A major concern is his tendency to fumble, which has been a recurring issue.
  • Pass Protection: He lacks consistency in pass protection, which could be a liability at the NFL level.
  • Contact Balance: Blue runs with a narrow base and doesn't consistently break tackles or fall forward against bigger defenders.
  • Interior Running: His vision on inside runs can be inconsistent, sometimes leading to hesitation.
We’ve seen all this at times since he played for the TexasLonghorns. Blue’s greatest strength is his speed. But his liabilities are apparently bigger than his strengths.
Too early to give up on him. He needs to grow up and take his opportunity seriously. Either he will or he won’t. Time will tell.

Well he has been less than impressive.

After all the hype in TC.. disappointing.
I think there was far more hype on here than there was at TC. All the slings and arrows directed at that former coach who tipped everyone off and turns out his source from the inside was correct. Blue had that lazy target on him early and didn't do all he could to eradicate that rep. At least we have him cheap for a while ...... just like with Randy Gregory, lol.
