I'd love to see ratings that are adjusted for how the other defenders performed. Seattle's DBs might looks a bit weaker with our pass rush. Middle of the road DBs can look great when there is excellent pass rush. Also, as I recall, the Falcons were dreadful in every aspect of the game last year.

But really, on a low money deal, you could get a guy who had 10 picks in 11, 12.

These are his coverage stats for 2012. The film the Cowboys studied that season before playing the Falcons included excellent performances by Decoud against the Eagles and Skins. So our notes on the guy look pretty good. This type of thing plays a big factor in free agents teams look at.

Nothing wrong with a vet who was highly rated just a couple of years ago. We could use some depth and a vet especially if it means keeping Heath off the field.

I live in Atlanta, and have seen a ton of his games. He is a terrible tackler. Really bad at it. His INT's are kind of deceiving. He kind of lucked into a lot of his INT's where the ball is overthrown right to where he is standing. He doesn't really make plays on the ball. Moreso, just catches the ball when it's thrown directly to him. (Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but just wanted to throw that out there)

I know he used to be a very good safety but I believe he is washed up.

We could use some guys with "luck". But what a lot of fans think is luck is guys being where they are suppose to be in the scheme.

I'd rather bring in Clemens but I've been seeing him toward the top of free agent safety boards all month. I haven't seen him much if at all so I have no idea of he's good or not. Nothing wrong with bringing in a vet to help out Wilcox if he needs it or to start if Wlcox ain't ready. I won't include Johnson because I'd be surprised if he was healthy.

Pro Football Focus referred to Nate Livings after his 2012 season with Dallas as a Stud at left guard. Stopped paying attention to their "rankings" since then.

Their pass defense rankings are terrible.

If he played for Miami last year, they would have pants him and done other terrible things to him with THAT picture!

IMO, any other FA signings for this team will wait until Jared makes his decision this weekend...If Allen wants to wear the star, then that likely sucks up the remaining FA dollars (unless they restructure someone else).

Well considering that I don't think we have a single FS on our current roster he'd be a big upgrade. It's pretty silly to write him off after 1 bad year, especially when he played on such a bad team. If he's willing to sign a reasonable 2 year deal Id say give him a shot.

Funny that NFL.com had nothing but good things to say about his tackling coming out of college...http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/thomas-decoud?id=1357. Maybe a little humility after being cut would bring the hitter back out of him.
