Cowboys' Jones finally admits 'My way of doing things doesn't work'

He's a liar...until further notice. If so, then Will Mcclay needs to bounce. GM...lets keep it up for 10 years. No new ideas, just the same loser team we used to dig.

Nothing and none of this means anything. All of you are wasting your time commenting on this as am I. The only meaningful thing Jerry can do at this point is say nothing, except a headline that says, Owner Jerry Jones is looking to hire a GM for 2026 season and beyond.

Being more active in free agency isn’t going to be enough. He has to also get it right. It’s far from a given that’ll happen as everyone hopes.

Other than potentially that, what exactly has changed??

He still runs his mouth and undermines the entire staff. He still insists on making all final decisions even he isn’t the same guy evaluating the players. He is 84 years old and also has many other things going on.

There’s a very long list of things that are still the same is the point. Simply opening the wallet isn’t likely to fix it.

Dropping the radio show would be a great start.
Thing is other gms and players now see Jerry as either adversarial or an easy target. We always get screwed on negotiations. Jerry has a damaged reputation and players and other teams really need a new point of contact (and Stephen is just looks at like an appendage of Jerry)

I think Jerry has listen to Steven the last 10 years is why we are what we are now !

“If I don’t change.”

Nice headline, leaving off half the sentence.

It gives the inevitable “but” to every Jerry admission.
It blows my mind how this got interpreted as Jerry admitting his way isn't working. That's not even close to what Jerry was saying.

He has every intention of continuing to do things his way.
