Of course we CAN beat Arizona this week.
I actually believe we're capable of beating any team in this league on a given week. We have that much talent.
But what we WILL do next week is really anyone's guess. And I don't think its an effort thing. I think its more that we do have some pretty sizeable flaws on this team that CAN be exposed.
Roy Williams is a perfect example. He can play pro bowl caliber, but he also can and will be had if you throw it deep enough times. And you needn't worry about the risks of throwing deep because the odds are we will not make you pay. Rather, its a good chance we'll self-destruct.
Its been treated as an anomoly to this point. Excused as a freak play or momentary brain fart. Or its Davis, or its Watkins, or its...
But no matter. Until its fixed, and there is no such evidence currently, then its a major problem.
And it happens with our o-line too. Columbo on the FG, Gurode on the reverse.
There are too many players with those tendencies on this team to expect anything other than up and down. We may beat Indy in two weeks. But there is no certainty that we'll follow that by beating Tampa at home. None.
