Bob Sturm mentioned this the other day and I did not realize it. Thats a whole football team. Thought it was interesting.

Seems like an odd time frame to specify.
Why are we looking at "since 2002"?
I would think it would make sense to look at certain coaching regimes or maybe periods where we had certain trainers on staff. Then maybe actual conclusions could be drawn.
I would have to see an actual list of the players. The Cowboys have been known to draft injured players with upside and stash them on IR. They've also put players on IR who were bubble players but ones they would like to keep around and develop, even though they probably didn't have season ending injuries.
I think Lee counts for at least 3 or those right? And yes, I'm being serious
2012 and 2014 he was on IR I believe. I think 2013 he missed 4 or 5 games with a hamstring injury but dont think he was on IR.

Garrett took over 5 years ago. Woicik took over three years ago. I am interested in timeframes based on real events to the active participants I'm interested in evaluating. 13 years seems cherry picked.
the biggest over exaggerated hire is Woicik. Some gomers here were making all sorts of idiot claims once he came back. Frankly I have noticed little change.

They started holding players out for more minor bumps and bruises and doing extended rehab his second season here. They also changed their pretraining stretch and some other things that I have heard of.
If people are making claims about results that is one thing but I like the work Woicik has been doing. The gains of DLaw, Patmon, Hanna, Randle and Escobar these last couple of years have been tremendous. Claiborne's recovery is another feather in his cap.
If the Cowboys are among the forefront of the teams that conduct the most intense practices, it would only seem reasonable that the number of injuries would tend to reflect that situation.
