Was just said on NFL Network coverage just a few minutes ago.

Was it for Lynch? Maybe for Dodd or Spence?

I think it was likely Lynch. At this point one of Dodd or Spence will be available when we pick at 34.

I assumed that when Denver traded up it was to block Dallas from getting Lynch. Didn't Denver give up a lot for such a short move up?

Their Third round pick, which is almost a 4th round pick. I wish we would have done that deal and moved up and got him but now it's time to get some D players.

Once again, Jerry and friends, have hoodwinked Cowboys Nation into believing he was going to draft a legitimate QB prospect. I drank the Kool-Aid again. If I read again, and I will, that a "source" reported that Dallas was attempting to trade back into the 1st round, I will barf.

We got one of these.....staying put was fine

Dodd Spence Nkemdiche Ogbah Jack Ragland

CB McKensie Alexander is still on the board, Billings and A'Shawn Robinson likely will be as well. At this point I'm hoping for Spence.

David Helman reported that Dallas was really working the phones ten minutes before the Denver trade was announced. They were trying to move up and stopped after the Broncos made their move.

I'm hoping for Dodd at 34, but I wouldn't be surprised if SEA drafts him

They just took an OT. At this point its almost a lock that one of Spence or Dodd will be available at 34 and I'd be happy with either one. Prefer Spence however.

I like our position...just look at all the DLinemen still on the board!

Billings
Robinson
Reed
Ogbah
Dodd
Spence

Not to mention the LBers...Jack and Ragland.

Give me A'Shawn Robinson or Ragland any day. Very high-character guys, and exemplary leaders on that 'Bama defense.

IMO, Robinson kills two birds. Not only does he solidify the 3-tech question, he bumps Crawford back to the outside and solidifies the LDE position, which moves DLaw back to RDE, which he was drafted to play in the first place.

Ragland means we no longer have to trust Rolando McClain to stay healthy and/or "clean".

So I'd be thrilled with either of those two. Hell, If you'd asked me yesterday, I'd have been thrilled to have a shot at Spence, Reed, Dodd, or Billings, too. I'll still be happy with any of them, just maybe not AS happy as with RR or AR.

So you think Dallas was blowing smoke about the attempt to trade up? Don't you think that maybe - just maybe - nobody wanted to accept what Dallas was offering? Or do you think Dallas should have just said "screw value" and sold the farm for it?

Yea, A half-hearted attempt imo. Different year, different names, same excuses for not legitimately addressing the QB position. Here's a tweet from Birddog26, regarding Dallas's attempt to trade back in the 1st round:

Either the guy is your guy, and you do what it takes. Or you shouldn't have even thought about it.

I don't get it. At all.
