I'm okay with it. It does show us that a QB is going to be taken, quite possibly tomorrow.

I thought they were talking about Lynch but did they actually say his name in the presser?

I see Werder is reporting thats who it was.

I think it worked out for the best. A lot of really good players left so no biggie.

I don't think they used his name specifically, but it was heavily implied. I think Steven mentioned something about moving up, and then in the same sentence said something about taking a QB. To me it was obvious they were talking Lynch.

I wouldn't bet against Elway. The guy is a winner at everything he's ever done and already has a Super Bowl. If he liked Lynch, you watch...he'll become a stud.

I wouldn't like Lynch in most WCO, but I bet Kubiak adjusts and gives him more pistol looks.

YR

He knew what he was doing. They actually will get a better version of Osweiller in Lynch.

Just amazing to me that people on here are so short sighted to see the doom that is coming if we don't address with a guy the caliber of Lynch.

That's three quarterbacks that they've been outbid on this draft.

Scary... he practically has bust tattooed on his forehead. I wonder if Jerry even has a single defensive player on the draft board he keeps in his head. Yet another situation where the Jones boys had to be saved from themselves.

Yes. Everyone was cracking up because Jerry just finally came out and said it "yes, it was Paxton Lynch"

Sounded like it may have cost the 2nd and 3rd...so they were saying we might be thrilled with what we end up getting anyway with those two picks.
Hope so

Ahh, I remember hearing the laughter, but I didn't catch what Jerry said.

I'm glad they didn't over-trade for Lynch.

There are some good QBs left in this draft.

Cardale > Hackenberg > Brissett > Prescott > Cook

Apparently me and Skip Bayless (heh) are the only ones who want to see Cardale wear the star, but there's no denying that he's a winner and he's got all the physical tools to succeed in the NFL. He and Zeke would have instant chemistry and he would be the perfect QB to groom behind Romo. He's already got the physical tools, and sitting behind Romo would really help him with the mental aspects of the game.

End it would've been just that… A huge overpay.

According to the trade chart, Denver overpaid by 24 points… That's the equivalent of six draft spots in the fourth round.

Dallas had the following options - their second and fourth, which would have been the closest they could get to what Denver offered. That would've been a full 80 points less then what Denver offered. No way Seattle's going to settle for that. Their only other option would've been their second and third rounders, which would have been an overtime over 115 freaking points.

I'm convinced they tried… Seattle just didn't want it bad enough.
