Matt Cassel completed 17-of-27 passes for 227 yards, with one touchdown and three interceptions in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Giants.

Making his first start of the season, Cassel had an uneven game to put it nicely, having one of his interceptions returned for a 58-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He did make a gorgeous throw to Devin Street in the end zone for a 25-yard score midway through the fourth quarter, to tie the game at 20 apiece. The veteran QB could not convert a key fourth down deep in Giants' territory in the final few minutes, however. On a positive note, the running game looked awesome, as Darren McFadden ran through big holes en route to a season-high 152 rushing yards. Dez Bryant (foot) might return soon, so Cassel could get to work with him for a few weeks, before QB Tony Romo (collarbone) ultimately takes over at some point in late November. Next up for Cassel and the Dallas Cowboys will be a home game against Seattle.
