I do think its a mistake just to take one game against us and think he is going to be all that.
And I'm not. Sorry if I was giving that impression. But I would welcome anyone who's curious to take a look at his body of work since he's been out of Cleveland, especially these past two years in Washington. I see a mature, prepared player with an exceptionally high completion percentage who doesn't turn over the football. That says an ideal backup to me.
Honestly, McCoy would be fine with me, but I don't think he is going to be much better than the other the Moores and other journeymen backups.
I think what will help our backups next year (if we have to use them) is to have a dominant run game like in '14, have Dez be healthy, have a better defense, and have the coaches create a more creative game plan that plays into their strengths.
Again, I encourage you and anyone else to take a closer look at his last two seasons of work in Washington. I think he can either be a quality backup for us, or for them.
