No more than it would be if we drafted a defensive player there either. Let's be honest. And any financial cost regarding the #4 pick is the same.

If it wasn't for the Browns teams wouldn't have so many QBs to choose from. They'll likely end up taking another one that will be made available in 2-3 years.
Big difference. If we draft a defensive player at #4 he's going to play this year.
So 5 mill for drafting a QB at #4 and 2-3 mill for McCoy means 7-8 mill for players not playing. Add in Romo's 20 mil and that's 27-28 million dollars for 1 position.
To what effect? Byron Jones? Randy Gregory? I don't see where either one was the difference between 4-12 and 12-4.
Every backup QB in the NFL sucks!
There's not a backup QB anywhere who will help us win any better than Weeden/Cassel if Romo gets injured.
Our only option is to draft the 2nd best QB in a weak QB draft at #4 in round one....then we will be fine for the next 15 years! Go Cowboys!
No QB at #4 = ALL IS LOST!

What the hell is wrong with you? We are drafting at #4! Where did we draft Jones or Gregory? And Jones did a damn good job last year drafting him where we did.
Jeez man, you are really losing credibility.
Colt mccoy is TERRIBLE.
I hope they sign McCoy and draft a QB.
4-12 happens when you don't have a good plan at QB.
I don't think anybody is expecting to have 2 Romo's on the team, but how about having a backup that can win a couple of games if Romo has to miss time? You know, other teams actually do win games without their starter.
The Broncos won the SB and Peyton Manning missed 7 games...............We would have lost all 7 if that was us.
We were 12-4 that season.
How much of that is the qb and how much are other problems (coaching)?
