Cowboys meeting with DE Clowney

Did you read what I posted?
I said it was a good trade at the time.

A 4th round pick for a possible QB to eventually take over for Dak.
He was the 2nd pick in the draft. Apparently SF thought highly of him. Since the SF slobberer fans on here think everything they do is great. Like they do the Eagles. But everything Jerry does sucks.

Apparently SF thought he had potential at some point.
So why not take that chance since Dallas was not going to draft a QB high. And they were on record they wanted to take a QB, but not with a high pick at that time.

It wasn’t that SF thought he sucked to trade him. He was coming off an injury. They discovered Purdy. And no way they could afford to keep both.

This is very logical for those that do not dislike everything the team does.
Yeah, I read exactly what you said and your argument here still doesn’t make sense. Did you read what I said?! So because SF thought he had potential than surely he was worth a 4th round pick  :lmao:

Surely a guy who played a total of 19 games over 3 years for North Dakota State was worth what SF gave up to get him which means we got a potential steal!

I guess you still do not get it.

And here you go again. Insult away.
You came after me day one. I still do not know what your problem is.
Lol…this is a joke. So you say “I guess you still don’t get it” and I say “I guess you never got it and never will”.

Yet somehow mine is an insult and yours wasn’t? Is the the Cowboyszone or the Twilightzone? I really can’t believe this and I can’t even put into words how whacked it is without having you suspend me AGAIN for something that people say to each other every day and much worse.

You treat me like Goodell treats the cowboys

I thought personal attacks weren’t allowed but I guess if a hypocritical MOD agrees with you then it’s ok. Homers gotta stick together
Did you address the poster who attacked me first or did you just conveniently see my post and not his?

I saw it, what did he say that was wrong?

Listen, both were somewhat personal attacks and personally I wouldn’t take offense to either comment. I get fans disagree and sometimes say things like that to each other. Now what I’ve been accused of by jazzcat as a personal insult, especially since he essentially said the same thing to me first, is absolutely ridiculous and hypocritical compared to what you two said to each other.

It’s actually comical at this point, I literally laughed out loud when I read what he considered me attacking him and if that’s the case than you, GTB and almost everyone who disagrees with each other on this site should be getting daily warnings and suspensions because much much worse is often said.

Correct It's always seems to be Jerry being blamed for things that other teams have made worse mistakes for They get a second look yes a 4th rounder I didn't have a problem when it's a quarterback, It's no different than taking a quarterback like Lance in the 4th round and there's not a problem with that That's the position you take risks on and that's why Milton needs to be given a little bit of a break by the fan base and maybe more time to develop before you call a guy trash and how we shouldn't have used whatever pick we used to get him...

I did have a problem for Mingo that one was inexcusable we didn't need a 2nd look at him he was probably being cut That guy you don't give a 4th rounder for in the middle of a lost year...

I mean the Chargers saw enough in Trey Lance to give him a shot,

You look decent preseason but then our fans come back and say well then maybe we should have kept him but no we don't know that he's going to turn his game around just like Nashon Wright, I mean all the over exaggerators on how we keep cutting corners and they're better elsewhere no it just took them time to develop and you just don't hang on to players like that because you can replace them with similar guys and you give them a new rookie contract over and over until you hit on a start...

So some of these players we have let go might be better elsewhere eventually but the players we pick up doing the same thing that these other teams have picked first round corners it didn't work out and now we have them for a cup of coffee and maybe they will eventually get it it's a vicious circle of moving parts they're just moving pieces around this is what the NFL is especially at your bottom 30 players on your 53..

The whole saying one man's trash is another man's treasure well sometimes it does work out I know it wasn't meant for sports but I look at it that way you just watch how teams do that there's no way that Philadelphia has that kind of luck to where they did pick up Zach Baun for a cup of coffee he was nothing his first three years in this league and has an All Pro year for them and now he's got a new deal... Philadelphia ended up with two bargain basement free agents that turned out to be great and one free agent that was supposed to be great that turned out to be a bump.. I know how your Roseman is looked at is better than Jerry but Jerry's doing the same things just like kicking the tires with a guy like Clowney that's not any different than he did with Zadarius Smith we didn't bring him in but these moves are made by most GM's are not special..

Roseman just likes to do it constantly they don't all workout many of them don't but you're hoping you hit on one that's all you need but they hit on two last year... I mean we do have a guy like Malik Hooker and we had Kearse but guys like this are on our team because we kicked the tires until we found a couple that could play.

I like the way Kendricks played he probably just doesn't fit Matt's new defense but he was a good pick up he had a really good year...

This is why people need to get off the short and curlies that they think they can turn Sanborn into that kind of player maybe even Murray although after game one maybe don't think about that but that is what they're doing.
Other GMs certainly make mistakes. No other GM makes mistakes for 30 years.

it was a terrible trade at every point in time

I like knowing you grit your teeth every time I own you
The funny thing is….i don’t even know who you are. You just one day started randomly replying to me. A 60 year old thinking he’s “owning” someone online is beneath me.

Still in your head 24/7.
Still in yours.

Pretty sure I was 100% correct 5 minutes after the trade was made.

But you go ahead and keep believing it was a good trade. You keep telling yourself it is a good thing for an Owner to trade for a player without talking to his coaching staff or scouting department.
