Who are the other teams taking?

Who are you passing on to take Tye Hill in the 1st, Kai in the 2nd, etc.?

How do we know who was available when your predicted players are selected?

In other words, how do we evaluate this draft when you only have who the Cowboys selected listed?

I love everything but your 1st round pick.

I was just following an a pattern already established on this very board by suggesting possible selections for the team in the rounds where they might be available. I didn't realize that the expectation is to post the ENTIRE draft.

As for CB, I do realize that it's not an immediate need, but I think Hill would be a very good value at 18 and a solid investment for the year after and beyond. Remember how frantic we were when Henrywent down with injury? Ultimately, we need to upgrade our talent pool overall. Ideally, I would like to trade down for someone like Carpenter, but I didn't want to speculate on trades. This is only the beta version.

I believe you mean Anthony Henry. And yes, while that injury did take it's toll, we do have some depth at the position. Both Aaron Glenn and Jacques Reeves played well in Henry's absence.

This team has much more pressing needs at the moment that need to be addressed with that first round pick i.e. OLB, ILB, OT, S.

You're right. Sorry, I must have been having a bad dream. And I agree with you about Glenn but he's getting long in the tooth.

Regarding the entire Draft thing. What you need to realize is that people are fanatical about the Draft enough that players are slotted in almost everyone's mind for the first round at least. They study the bios and the scouting reports with fervor and passion. In short, I want to see who you have us passing on at 18 so I can be really sick.

Don't take it so serious.

The draft is loaded with solid safetys so i dont think we would need to take one in the first unless huff is still there. I like those picks except I would rather take antonio cromartie at cb instead of ty.

with all the tweeners and LB'rs in this draft, If we don't get an OLB, we will seriously regret it. We have Newman/Henry/Glenn....Who sits?

What are the odds that we go LB with the first two picks?

I don't know about both picks but I'll be shocked if we don't grab a LB with at least one of them.

My guess...90% at least one LB among first 2 picks.

Is anyone else out there hoping that Dallas trades down a lot and gets Max Jean Guilles in the first?

I'm hoping we trade down but for someone like Carpenter. What kind of value can we expect for Glover? Do we expect to trade him?

A lot tougher evaluating who we draft at #18 then #10 eh?

I think we walk away with at least one LB in the first day. If we don't draft a FS in the first three rounds, it's because we signed one in FA or BP believes Davis or someone else will be able to step in and do the job.

I like Gilles a lot, but not at the expense of a potential difference-maker on the front seven. I can't see Gilles moving up much after the combine based on his girth and the position he plays. How about we trade down (a shade) in the first, grab Carpenter, then use the trade pick(s) and our own second to move up in the second to draft Gilles?

I love Gilles, and that's why earlier on, I was proposing ways to acquire more picks in order to pick up Carp and Gilles. If we can move down and pick up a 4, then we can trade Ellis and the 4, to move from the 18th pick in the 2nd round (49th overall), to within the 1st 5 pick of the 2nd round. If Ellis and a 4 is not enough, then trade our 49th pick and Ellis to move up and keep the 4.

I happen to think that Gillis will be the next LA (in his prime) and if you can manage to get Carp/Gilles/Moss/ and this is my personal opinion that I know everyone hates but I don't care (Brooks in the supp. draft).
Shaffer/Rivera or LA/Bentley/Gilles/ADams is a dominant Oline.

If we managed to get those players in the 1st 2 rounds and supp. draft, that would be a homerun.
