I love everything but your 1st round pick.The_Jackal said:Ty Hill, CB, Clemson (McNeil, OT, Auburn if his back checks out)
Kai Parham, ILB, Virginia
Ryan O’Callaghan, OT-OG, Cal
Roman Harper, S, Alabama
Tommy Jackson, DT, Auburn
I believe you mean Anthony Henry. And yes, while that injury did take it's toll, we do have some depth at the position. Both Aaron Glenn and Jacques Reeves played well in Henry's absence.The_Jackal said:As for CB, I do realize that it's not an immediate need, but I think Hill would be a very good value at 18 and a solid investment for the year after and beyond. Remember how frantic we were when McNeil went down with injury? Ultimately, we need to upgrade our talent pool overall. Ideally, I would like to trade down for someone like Carpenter, but I didn't want to speculate on trades. This is only the beta version.

what he said.austintodallas said:A CB with our first pick? Probably the last position we need to worry about.
Regarding the entire Draft thing. What you need to realize is that people are fanatical about the Draft enough that players are slotted in almost everyone's mind for the first round at least. They study the bios and the scouting reports with fervor and passion. In short, I want to see who you have us passing on at 18 so I can be really sick.The_Jackal said:I was just following an a pattern already established on this very board by suggesting possible selections for the team in the rounds where they might be available. I didn't realize that the expectation is to post the ENTIRE draft.

I don't know about both picks but I'll be shocked if we don't grab a LB with at least one of them.The_Jackal said:What are the odds that we go LB with the first two picks?
Not me, but I like Latui in the 2nd.neosapien23 said:Is anyone else out there hoping that Dallas trades down a lot and gets Max Jean Guilles in the first?

I love Gilles, and that's why earlier on, I was proposing ways to acquire more picks in order to pick up Carp and Gilles. If we can move down and pick up a 4, then we can trade Ellis and the 4, to move from the 18th pick in the 2nd round (49th overall), to within the 1st 5 pick of the 2nd round. If Ellis and a 4 is not enough, then trade our 49th pick and Ellis to move up and keep the 4.Sitting Bull said:I like Gilles a lot, but not at the expense of a potential difference-maker on the front seven. I can't see Gilles moving up much after the combine based on his girth and the position he plays. How about we trade down (a shade) in the first, grab Carpenter, then use the trade pick(s) and our own second to move up in the second to draft Gilles?
