Good for him. Considering what he went through.
The same media that had you excited about Elam and Murray? My opinion is based on what every person in the media that covers the team is reporting.
You don't make any sense. Get some help. The same media that had you excited about Elam and Murray?
You really just refuse to see anything you don’t want to don’t you?
lol I don’t make sense. You don't make any sense. Get some help.
You are one strange, obsessed, paranoid dude.lol I don’t make sense.
Ok I’ll spell it out for you slowly.
Local media said Elam and Murray were having great camps. You then in turn called them fantastic pickups.
One was cut mid season and one was the 3rd worst LB in the NFL.
Media was being the paid hype machine they are.
Now they are saying the same thing about the coaching staff. Who do you think is telling them this?
Consider this. Jerry spoke more than Schotty at the end of season presser.
Does it make sense now? Or should I draw it in crayon for you?
Odighizuwa is good if used right. We have overused him in the past playing him almost 80% of the snaps in 2024Any coach of any ilk needs adequate players that are teachable and fundamentally sound. I think we struggle til we get the dline coach better players in that regard. Aside from Quinnen and Clark. We got along way to go.
Great points. Its becoming an annoying trend and your right we never highlight the fact that scrubs next to Mitchell were bad. We are giving him far too much credit on Surtain, Mitchell and DeJean. Turn our group into even DeJean and I’ll take it.Right. This explains my ambivalence about Parker. Mitchell and DeJean came into the league as full-fledged monsters, both of whom were coached up in college. If Parker deserves credit for their success, then shouldn't he also get dinged for the Iggles' failure to find an outside CB mate for Mitchell (DeJean plays the slot) this year, and shouldn't he get blamed for Blankenship's regression in pass defense this year?
I don't blame Parker for the failures, but the picture isn't complete unless/until you evaluate everything.
I don’t think they were paid to hype them up. I believe they did play well in camp. That just doesn’t translate to the real game.lol I don’t make sense.

I'm not sure I get this. When we hired Dan Quinn as defensive coordinator, he brought in Aden Durde as defensive line coach. Durde had been with him in Atlanta. He brought in Joe Whitt Jr., who also had been with him in Atlanta. Now, we did keep some holdovers (Harris, Edwards, McCurley, Lett), but some of them came here because of their relationship with the head coach.I’m excited about this hire because it doesn’t feel like a typical Jerry Jones move. It’s something different from what we’re used to, and for once, I’m genuinely curious to see how it plays out.
We still have a long way to go with the draft and finding the right guys in free agency, no doubt about it. But these are the kinds of small, smart steps you have to take if you want to build a real defense in today’s NFL.
I’ll keep saying it: the more the Joneses stay out of football decisions, the better off this team will be.
Just shows that talent is the most important thing. Roll out what we had last year and the results would be about the same no matter who you have as DC. The secondary was injury-plagued and not very deep. We might could have helped them more by blitzing, but that also means there's another hole in coverage to exploit.Great points. I agree. Unless these guys can play. Revel was a rookie coming back from injury so I’d give him a pass. Carson I still don’t know what he is. Maybe even Bland did that matter.Just shows that talent is the most important thing. Roll out what we had last year and the results would be about the same no matter who you have as DC. Revel definitely gets a pass. I expect better than what we saw from Bland. But so far with Carson, I haven't liked most of what I've seen when he's been on the field. I liked what we saw from Butler in 2024 much more than anything from Carson, but we kept Butler sidelined all last year. We definitely at least need to add a slot corner this year, but I hope we get at least a couple of reliable vets just in case Bland has trouble coming back or Revel isn't what we hope he'll be.I agree. There is no way they played well in camp and looked that bad in real games. Especially if they were competing against our high powered offense. Come on man.I don’t think they were paid to hype them up. I believe they did play well in camp. That just doesn’t translate to the real game.
My gosh. It’s like trying to explain calculus to a toddler. You are one strange, obsessed, paranoid dude.
Oh for sure. Happens all the time. You don’t remember reports about how Jameil Showers and Kellen Moore looked better than Dak in 2016? Happens all the time. Doesn’t mean it will translate. There were clips posted here. Elam did not look as poor as he did in the game. There is no way they played well in camp and looked that bad in real games. Some drills favor the defense and some favor the offense, which is why we shouldn't make too much of any drill. If in a particular drill, we're working on press technique, for instance, that might make a DB like Elam look better or if it is one-on-one man coverage, he's better at that than he is any zone scheme. He's also going to look better if he's going up against a Tolbert than if he's going up against a Lamb. There is no way they played well in camp and looked that bad in real games. Right. You've got to keep it in context and look at what's really going on on the field. Media can lose sight of that when they are reporting what happened.Oh for sure. Happens all the time. Actually, it's a nut that doesn't know what he is talking about. It's obvious that the coaches are picking their staff. My gosh. It’s like trying to explain calculus to a toddler.
