Cowboys need to be more like NE in draft

The Patriots just seem to draft better because they stockpile compensatory picks thanks to people overestimating the talent because they win all the time.

Exactly. It's a vicious cycle. The rich just get richer. The Patriots make a late round draft pick trade for Trent Brown, coach him up and run a system that gets the ball out quickly and make him look better than he is, and then find a sucker in the Raiders to grossly overpay him. The Giants did the same thing the year before with Nate Solder. And then the Patriots get a premium comp pick to restock while the dummies overpay a mediocre player.

And they dump players for high draft picks when their salary is fixin' to get high.

They can make the tough decisions, while the Cowboys get caught up in feelings and attachment to "good guys".

People always talk about "imitating the Patriots"? Imitate that. Start there with being able to make tough, harsh decisions instead of worrying about hurt feelings.

I still can't believe we turned down Antonio Cromartie for Tashard Frickin' Choice.

Yes, cutting Dez and Romo didn't cause any "hurt feelings".

It's not as if cutting their two long time and highest paid most visible players was a "tough" decision.

Do you honestly think Romo was a "tough call"? Or truthfully their call at all?

NE getting best draft grades across board from everyone I have checked in with. This is team coming off SB. They load up where it counts (7 picks in rounds 2-4). They don't waste time in 6th & 7th round (only 1 pick for both rounds). Get steal of draft imo in 4th round with Jarrett Stidham QB.
We have actually way out drafted them for the last 5 years.
