"We're going to see what he's able to do today in practice," Garrett said. "Getting his rehab, getting his treatment and really taking it day by day, so we'll see what he's able to accomplish."
Garrett had hoped to see Romo make some progress in Thursday's practice, but he acknowledged Friday that Romo "did not do a whole lot." The Cowboys will need to see Romo moving better before making him the starter in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals.

RGIII practiced more than Romo did and the coaches played the same thing. I really cannot fathom how, if Romo didn't practice today, they would consider putting him out there. I think they are trying to game Arians.

I also think it doesn't matter, Linehand doesn't seem to be the kind of guy who is going to change the overall gameplan for either of them. NEWSFLASH - We're going to try to run the ball a whole lot, regardless of the QB.

Is Romo has been doing this for what 11 years with Success? Rgbum3 had one decent year? Who would you trust? I'll take the guy with skins on the wall who knows his offense inside and out

just start Weeden Sunday and vs. Jax. that's 3 whole weeks Romo can heal up

worst case scenario we're 6-4 coming out of the bye

I could live with Weeden starting Sunday since it's a toss-up whether we win that game anyway. I prefer putting Romo back in the saddle against Jacksonville because we need to be at least 7-3 heading into those final six games.

Its Garretts job to play the qb who gives us the best chance to win, lets hope it gets it right this time. Because he didnt Monday night

I'm not suggesting that RG3 is any where near the quality of Romo, but I can't remember any QB starting without practicing at all during the week. Maybe I'm wrong though. Its one of my skills.

Romo has been starting for almost a decade. RG3 hasn't. One doesn't need the practice the other does. Romo has a bruised back. RG3's injury was much more severe. You're comparing apples to oranges.

I'm too lazy to look but I'm sure it's been done before. Did Romo practice after the broken ribs? I don't recall

I really don't think he is playing Sunday.

I think the team internally knows it.

Hence you get remarks from Weeden and Vaughn that they are ready for their roles Sunday.

This is all to keep AZ guessing and take the spotlight off of Weeden.

It's the right way to play it.

If Weeden gets the job done I fully expect him to play in London while Romo dons a Chelsea jersey and claps alongside Garrett.

What do you expect Weeden to say?

if simple pain tolerance keeps him out this week ill be stunned, frankly. if its a bruised kidney and thats what they didn't tell us then its understandable.

we must not have more than 3 losses going into the bye week.
