Any idea who that guy is?

This what someone at theranch/**click-bait** posted.

Bird dog is a professional scout that specializes in defensive backs but also lends a hand with other positions as well. He has worked with several organizations, the Cowboys being one of them. This has been confirmed by Dave Halprin the editor ofBloggingtheboys.com. He keeps his identity to himself so that it doesn't affect his professional work but many times offers great insider tips to those of us on the outside.
Believe it if you want or not....I couldn't care less but just giving you a heads up on him. He is worth following on twitter.

birddog claims to be a scout on his twitter bio and the guys from BTB and other sportswriters like Sturm and Broaddus who are active on twitter take him at face value.

I have not seen any direct evidence that it is true but circumstantially and the lack of contrary evidence has me giving him some credence.

I doubt Broaddus would have had the patience with him if he wasn't who he said. Random guy that posted that about Jaylon would have likely had Broaddus taking off his cap and slapping him through the internet.

How about we just wait until his nerve starts firing again before the consideration that he'll even step a foot on the field during game day? As of right now, his knee is a mess. Until something changes, he's not playing this year.

This is actually from late April http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...fl-draft-notre-dame-injury-recovery/83489188/

For now, Smith is using an ankle foot orthosis (AFO) device to help him pick up his left foot during workouts, which Smith’s athletic rehabilitation specialist, Dr. Bryan Bourcier, tells teams has progressed past deficit work to functional compensation and progressions. Smith’s legs are the same size again. He has squatted over 500 pounds and leg pressed over 700. Lateral movement is his only major restriction. “He’s getting ready to play football,” Bourcier said.
If the nerve never recovers, there are options, such as a tendon transfer to hold the foot up, Cooper said, adding that Smith might even be so talented he could play in the NFL even with a foot drop.

I've never heard this bit of information before. It gives me hope for his recovery and playing again.

The knee isn't a mess, it's ahead of schedule. The nerve affects the ankle/foot hence drop foot.
