2:56:35 pm Cowboys RB Felix Jones is once again sitting out of practice, making it more likely he will miss the game this weekend at Denver. Owner Jerry Jones said he was going to see how RB Marion Barber got through practice today before making a comment on his status.

2:45:48 pm Cowboys OT Flozell Adams is sitting out practice today because of a shoulder injury he suffered in the Carolina game.
2:22:23 pm The Cowboys running game has been an integral part to the offense through the first three weeks, averaging 193.7 yards-per-game - tops in the league. The Cowboys are also just one of two teams (New Orleans) with three backs with 100-plus rushing yards.

2:04:01 pm The Cowboys have the top-ranked rushing attack in the NFL and TE Jason Witten sees the advantages. "When you run the football, it makes everything else fall into place. It allows us to be creative."

1:40:36 pm Cowboys coach Wade Phillips announced that CB Mike Jenkins will start this week when the Cowboys travel to Denver. Phillips said Jenkins played well in his last start versus the Panthers, but he has not closed the door on Orlando Scandrick getting another start in the future.
1:34:59 pm Cowboys QB Tony Romo on whether if it was good or bad for the offense to have an identity: "It's good to have an offense that scores points."

Despite that, I still wish we ran more.

JMO but we pass too often.

I want the opposing front 7 begging for mercy by the 4th quarter when we bring in The Barbarian in to rough them up a little more.

totally agree big dog, but with felix out not for awhile again, and again, and again, not sure if want to use barber too much so that he reinjures his quad again

Same here.

Tony Romo has 89 pass attempts while the Ghidorah backfield has 75 carries.

I'm all for Romo airing it out like he did in week one when the defense prioritizes stopping the run (the backs still had over 100 yards and a 5 yard per carry average!).

But what is wrong with truly embracing the run when a defense wants to keep the safeties back and prevent the big passing plays?

It doesn't mean we have to go run heavy every week and the offense is much more balanced this year, but there will be games where we should.

take advantage of whatever the defense gives you. i don't care if we throw or run 90% of the time. who cares, as long as it's a win.
