    A "D" is very generous.

Basically, Jerruh and The dumb son have decided to go into rebuilding mode after paying a QB + RB top dineros and then decide to gut the team. Dumb Dumb.

I would rate this as an "F-"

The common ones blowing smoke and waving Pom poms are gonna have a field day and a fit. Yesterday we didn’t need Gilmore because we have Kelvin Joseph. Lol. How’s that looking now? Gilmore for 10 million a year? Nope. For what? We have Joseph

I am trying to imagine who the Cowboys would have to draft to make this offseason flip from negative to positive. Unless several highly rated players drop into the Cowboys laps I don't see how the offseason could turn positive.

That, we won't know until this season is well under way.

I so not see Collins, Gregory or Williams as great losses, their production, or lack of, can be replaced. Cooper and Wilson and a questionable when to return Gallup are problems.

If everyone here loved the draft, it's still unknown until proven. Same with 2021. Parsons was a home run but behind him? That's the draft class that has to step up this season.

How many times will you guys do this in your lives? Defend what the FO does by just saying hey, we will draft guys and sign the scraps left in May in FA?

How many May/June FA signings have had big impacts for this team, for example?

This off-season has been an absolute train wreck for Jerry and the Cowboys. Nothing in the draft is going to markedly improve this team.

I agree this offseason has been a big fat F. The Cowboys are a worse team than they were at this time last year at least on paper. For every player we’ve lost we’ve either added a downgrade or a downgrade will be stepping in that’s already on the roster. As much as fans were unhappy with Connor Williams his replacement Connor McGovern couldn’t even beat him out when given the opportunity.

agree D way too generous---every other super bowl winner adds good pieces in free agency...not cowboys...it shows they do not care about winning....lets just be honest

No major offseason coaching staff changes strongly comes into play for me.

I think the HC and his staff either have the ability to coach up a lesser athlete or they don't.
I have no confidence in this HC and offensive staff coaching up this year's lesser FA replacements and rookies to the performance level of the player they replaced.

I mean Steele is the only one. No body else. Period.

Quinn "may" be able to put those type players in their best positions/schemes to succeed.

I have very little to no confidence that McCarthy, Moore and Philbin can outcoach or out scheme anybody outside this less than impressive division.

That's been pretty much the standard and I expect it to continue.

With that said, a grade of D sounds accurate . If they woulda lost Quinn, an F minus for me. He's the only one who knows what he's doing, lol.

I didn't like giving up Cooper and Collins for nothing, but we don't know the whole story behind closed doors. We do know both had questionability reliability. The offseason is still ongoing but considering the Cowboys lost 2 oline starters, a starting wr, a starting de, solid depth players in Wilson and Neal while not doing much to replace them I get the rating at the moment.

Let's see what the draft yields, along with future signings. If the Cowboys come out of the first 3 rounds with Oline, Dline, WR we're probably talking to a more optimistic bunch depending on the players selected. Then there's still some quality free agents that will have a more favorable price after the draft.

OG: Williams was a serviceable starter but made many costly mistakes. Cowboys draft an OG in the first round I would hope he could give atleast what Williams did plus more. Think we have an opportunity to upgrade.

OT: Many called for Steele to start after Collins returned. I think Collins is still the better RT, but Steele seems like a fine option provided our interior gets better. We still need another T and should look to free agency if we end up not drafting someone. Need to see more of Ball. OT is likely a push this year at best.

WR: Replacing Cooper will take effort, but as it turned out he was the same player he was with the Raiders. A streaky player that sometimes made you think he was a top WR and other times more of a #2. James Washington is intriguing and we'll certainly use a pick in the first 3 rounds to select a receiver. This is likely an area that looks downgraded, but if we improve our pass protection amd run game we have plenty if weapons to still be a top offense. There are also guys like Landry, Jones, and Green out there that could fill gaps. Then you have talented but head cases Brown and Beckham.

I think C or C- is more fair. You’re roughly what you were last year. You lost a few players due to salary cap implications, brought in some cheaper replacements, but you’re getting Gallup for the loss of Cooper, likely drafting a pass rusher on day 2 to combine with Fowler for Gregory, and is La’El really a dramatic loss?

Standing pat off-season to try and fix the cap for next year when you have to pay Diggs, maybe Lamb, maybe Schultz.

That's what I really don't understand. You have to add pieces to get better, can't be draft alone. Even the 90's teams added players like Haley, Deon, and Novacek. You can't get everyone through the draft.

I get that maybe Cooper needed to go, but no real attempt was made to replace him with a #1 WR. I get Parsons was awesome last year, how about getting a stud DE to help with the pass rush ?

Jerruh is just going to milk this thing with zero commitment to winning.

Yeah, I would prefer to wait until training camp honestly to see where we stand.

In the early portion of free agency, we definitely lost. And the Cowboys handling of both Cooper and Collins was ridiculous. Telling everyone we are going to let them go if we don't trade them. I honestly can't remember ever seeing another team do that. I was on board with signing Gallup and letting Cooper go...before Gallup blew out his knee. So, I was prepared to lose Cooper anyway, so maybe getting a 5th rounder is a little consolation in that regard. But signing Gallup for significant money when we have no idea how he will be is disturbing. He should have been signed to a one year deal that provided some safety for the team and gave him a chance to make good money. We are stuck with paying him 23m guaranteed over the next two years even if he doesn't fully recover. The loss of Collins is still bizarre. How we just gave him away for nothing is beyond me. His cap hit wasn't terrible and could have been reduced. Putting him at G would have been the best move possible. He has the strength to deal with the beasts.

Losing Gregory sucks...but I don't have a problem with how it went down. If I was investing millions on a player, I would want some safeguards when the guy is a known knucklehead....and especially after giving him all the leeway we did. The thing is that everyone talks about him being a premier pass rusher....but come on, he has never lived up to it. Ever. Fowler has had three years better than any that Gregory has put up, and Gregory is two years older. Fowler had a great season in 2019 so maybe he can do it again. Hell, Robert Quinn had a great year with us after some down years, then put up a stinker before having another good year. I just don't automatically assume that Fowler will be worse overall than Gregory would be.

They point out the loss of Cedric Wilson as being big, but James Washington has put up similar numbers over his career. His numbers were down last year but Big Ben was pretty much trash last year.

Losing Cooper and Collins definitely big loss. Gregg and Wilson, not sure it is a big deal. Losing Joseph would be pretty significant, because I believe the expectation was he would take an outside spot, Brown and Lewis would compete for the slot.

We still have the draft which hopefully will inject some juice at a couple spots, and then I am sure we will pick up a guy or two to fill holes after the draft. Then we can completely judge. Best part is, no matter what we think...it will all get determined on the field one way or another.

Collins and RGregory are not elite players.

    Coop had 60+ catches.
