I seen where moving McGovern as more a full time C is a possibility. But now with all those in competition maybe not.
At this point, I try to move him by the time camp starts. He is on his final year of his deal and is at best solid depth. Which is a good thing to have, but if he’s gone next year we could try to get something. I think we have enough pieces to move on and let Farniok backup both guards. I would release him outright, but I would see if we could get a punt return specialist. TACKLE : SMITH, STEELE, Ball, Waletzko GUARD : SMITH, MARTIN, McGovern, Farniok CENTER : BIADADZ, Farniok Then you have a few camp guys in Collins, Jones, Lindstrom.
I thought about that, he could be bumped off the roster. I doubt a trade, because every time fans think that we can make a trade with some of the depth. It never happens. On the other hand, since he is a solid back up, he should not be released just because his contract will be up. That can turn into a 6th or 7th round comp pick if he is better than those camp bodies. Can always draft another OL. They always seem to select 1 or 2 anyway.
He has some experience as a KR Drummond had a few punt returns at a decent avg ST is where these guys have a shot to impress
If one of these guys can do anything at their position and return punts that would be great Malik Davis has returned kicks
Too bad we missed the boat on Krull. That guy was fast; you would have had to look at him at WR, also.
I think Bell has a legit shot to make the roster, the rest there are a few I have hopes for but realistically might not work out.
I understand speed dropped him. But man, looks plenty quick out there to me Cheering for this dude and the two big safeties
No quarterbacks listed. Supposed that means Grier and DiNucci will be the camp arms while battling to be no. 3 (behind Rush).
