Does anyone know if the Sunday Ticket Cowboy games are blacked out in Houston? Or is there a map that shows Sunday Ticket blackout areas?

I'm wondering if it's worth the purchase.

Thanks

Hey, I have direct tv and the nfl ticket. However, I think I'm going to cancel it this year. I looked at the schedule of nationally televised games and such. Because I live where I can't pick up local channels very well I get the fox sw feed because of the exception made to me, so I get all the games televised on there too. Between the national games and the late games I figure I'm certain to see at least 12 games on regular direct tv. Of the four left I think I will get to see at least 2 of the four because of the competition with other games at the 1 o' clock time. So, if I don't get to see the other two I will hopefully get a download from someone on here or see it on nfl replay.

The pre-season game between Dallas and Houston will be shown on channel 13 ABC. Sunday Ticket does not cover any of the pre-season games.

My mistake. No. Dallas games are not affected by the local blackout rules on Direct TV the game will be seen regardless of Houston sell outs or not.

the only way you don't get a game on directv is if it is already on your local station.

don't know if that answers your questions but thats what I have experienced.

I have suffered several blackouts of the game on nfl ticket. usually during halftime or so. The why of that I don't know yet. Makes me mad very mad when I have to work and find out I have only half a game to watch when I was expecting a whole one. I live in Chatt, Tn. So, It just doesn't seem like my game should be affected that way, it happens about 3 times a season.

guys, having the NFL Ticket is awesome. Especially with the story lines of playoffs possibilities others than our beloved boys. I can't even count how many times I flipped over to watch the last few minutes of close games, that were not my Boyz. This is especially around Thanksgiving timeframe.

It sounds like reception difficulty and not the NFL rule imposed blackouts.

The rule for blackouts is a 150 mile radius from the game site (IF the game is not sold out by The previous Thursday, and it's being shown on a local station). So to answer the original question, as long as you live more than 150 miles away from Texas Stadium you will get the game (sold out or not).

That's not the way it happened for me. At least twice if not three times last year my game would get blacked out. It's not a reception problem for sure. I still would have the header on top showing the station. I never have reception problems. I installed my own dish and it is set perfect and mounted into a concrete chimney so no movement ever. They cut off my screen at halftime on one game one time for sure and maybe twice. Then blacked out a whole game once. I taped it off my sw station that day instead. So, maybe it has something to do with my location but I live like 18 hrs from dallas.
