Mike Davis is like a Murray clone to me.
The prospect that intrigues me the most is Duke Johnson. He looks like a young Charles at KC. Every time he touches the ball I feel like something big will happen. He's both quick and fast. He's not the physical specimen like some bigger backs but he has shown some ability in breaking tackles.

Plus that school knows how to make a RB NFL worthy.

Overrated : Abdullah , Duke Johnson
Niether of these guys will be an every down back in NFL .

Underrated : David Cobb has all the tools to be a workhorse.

On Mike Davis' pro day according to walterfootball:

Can't say the same for running back Mike Davis. While he was faster and looked a bit slimmer, sources say his conditioning was "not ideal," as Davis was not running through drills and struggled to get through pass-catching drills. Interesting note - the Dallas Cowboys sent a coach to specifically observe Davis. During the workout, which was run by the Tampa Bay Bucs, the Cowboys' coach was requesting for Davis to run specific drills. Shades of Tom Savage/Bill O'Brien from last year?

Agree on Duke Johnson, strongly disagree on Abdullah. He runs inside and runs tough. Just because he's compact, does not mean he cannot be an every down back. See Jamal Charles. He's my #3 RB.

I like Abdullah's running but watching his film , he sucks at protection. Jerry said they're only looking to draft a back that can do all 3.

Yea, he might not be the pick then. Although pass pro is something he can learn, and he did 24 bench presses, more than all of top tier RBs. Even though he is not big, he's plenty strong.

Abdullah is by far the worst fumbler.
Abudullah 1 in 35 touches
Gurley 1 in 180 touches

I like Cobb in the third round. Think he will be a very good pro, physical and always seems to fall forward.

He is my sleeper, if he can be considered as such. After Gordon/Gurley and possibly Coleman, who will all be gone well before pick 60, I don't see much separation among the other prospects. So at that point, it's all about scheme fit and what the team is looking for in a RB. Cobb is a big, fluid back with good vision to run effectively between tackles. Listed at 230 but maybe they can get him closer to 220 to improve agility and quickness if needed.

You can likely get Cobb in the 3rd round. Nothing against the other guys but don't see a need to take a RB in the 2nd when you can get the skills of a Cobb in the 3rd. Personally I'd be fine with either one of Cobb/Davis/Yeldon in the 3rd.

Seems more likely by the day that CB will be the pick in the 1st. So if that happens, take DL in the 2nd. There should be plenty of starting DL talent left in the 2nd. Follow up with RB in the 3rd.

I like Cobb on film, but the 40 time he put up is pretty scary to me. If he's putting those numbers up now, how will he be after a couple of years in the league?

I didn't see it but apparently he pulled up with a quad injury during his only 40 yd heat which caused the slow 40 time. He did not run at his pro day.

I have no idea but I'd guess he's a high 4.5 to low 4.6 guy.

Agreed. I'm liking abdullah more and more.

The guy has vision, speed, agility, and balance. He can push the pile too, and isn't an easy guy to bring down.

The only real knocks on him are his propensity to fumbling and that he's iffy in protection (although he's decent at throwing cut blocks)
