But is there anything preventing them now from investing in any player's side enterprise? Of course, this could cause something to be done about that if it's not already there.

You can bet the phone lines were on fire to Goodell's office from quite a few owners when this surfaced. What's to prevent Booger from underwriting and setting up a player in another business?

I would be very surprised if there wasn't some verbiage addressing this as this was part of what DeBartolo got nailed when he was circumventing the cap. This isn't creative, it's pretty simple. There should be some guidelines in place regarding these side businesses. If not, Booger could have set up McClain in his very own Torched Homes for Insurance by Rolando.
Im guessing you are right. This must be addressed somewhere. Will be interesting to see what happens here. If this is all legal..... why wouldnt BIOOLIONAIRE Jerry just start helping these players that give him team friendly deals, from just investing in their "Businesses?"

There is no law saying, a person cannot have two jobs at once or two contracts at once. So the NFL cant do anything about it.

Suck it up Goodell. :flagwave:

If only all Cowboy players realized this extra value that comes with playing for the Cowboys, taking less for salary to create a better overall team means more $$ for all if they can win

Plus Texas has no income taxes!

Go ask the Patriots...……….they have done business with Brady's gym TB12 for over 5 years now, its even located at the Patriot's facilities.

And people wonder why Brady is so quick to take below market deals with the Pats:laugh:

How is this legal for the team to do? Lol

I’m all for it though.
Why wouldn't it be legal? Jaylon has his own company OUTSIDE the NFL and JJ invested. Goodell can do NOTHING about it!....though he may try!

Wonder if this has anything to do with his "friendly deal" and will this red flag the NFL office?
The Patriots do it with Brady's TB12 company...that's how Brady plays year after year on a "team friendly deal." It should be no surprise that teams funnel additional money to players....I'm sure its been happing for many years.
