The muscles in the lower back can take a couple months to heal my son plays football and had the same injury. Hopefully he can play without any further injury just has to endure it

I am dealing with a on/off again lower back strain. I lift, run, etc....but obviously nothing as serious as football. You would be amazed..the slightest wrong turn at the wrong moment can cause it to flare up. When it does...I am on muscle relaxers...anti inflammatories for a couple of days. The nurse told me it is easy for my back to spasm, tighten up etc....if I have had a lower back strain in the past. So she said I am a candidate for this to return at any time. Of course I am not getting the 1st class medical treatment, training facilities etc..that these guys have. But I am just pointing out that these things are PAINFUL and debilitating. When it first happened....I was bedridden for 3 days. Needed a cane to walk.

They need Tyron playing on Sunday and at near 100%.

Packers bring both Nick Perry and Clay Matthews from that side and collectively they already have 7.5 sacks so far in 4 games.

I had the same thing, got a stationary bike and do 30 minutes every morning, knock on wood no issues since then.

The irony is I have friends that are not nearly in the shape I am in. I mean that outweigh me by 70 pounds. And they never seem to have any ailments! I am 45 years old and active. Not as svelte as I was at 25....but I still spend the same amount of time in the gym as I did 20 years ago. I guess after years of grinding....the body has a way of letting you know that you are not as young as you used to be.

I too believe our bye week is coming just at the right time. We need Tyron and Claiborne this weekend. Rest them as much as we can during the week and just get thru this game, then the 2 weeks rest should help. With Mo, it's all about his confidence - so he can't be hampered by an ankle. Hopefully it really is minor and can get thru this game without injury or being picked on - knowing he is hobbled a bit.
With Tyron, my guess is if Green wasn't also injured they would rest him, let his back free up. Question, is it a lower back thing ? Or somehow related to the neck stinger he's had since camp.
Anyway, all hands on deck this weekend and then take as much time as they need to heal.
Last thing, again, this bye week comes at a perfect time for us - Tyron, Mo, Dez, Green, Scandrick, Even William's was on early injury report. plenty of rest before we get to the Eagles game !
