Personally, I love the underestimation. That will make this team even hungrier come time for training camp and preseason.
Though, I really have no idea how this team could be considered a losing team -
Top tier QB in Romo.
One of the best, if not the best, trio of running backs in the league.
The best duo at TE. The combination of Witten and Bennett, in my mind, is unmatched, and will play a huge role in replacing T.O.'s production.
Obvious question marks at WR, but from what I've read, the receivers are working hard and the only roster spot that is pretty much safe is Roy Williams. The competition that ensues as a result could cut some players into diamonds.
The OL can be dominant, when healthy.
On defense we have the top OLB in the game with Ware. At MLB, we have the most technically sound Strong Side Inside Linebacker in the game with Bradie James, who has led the team in tackles for the last three seasons. A healthy T. Newman can shut down any receiver in the league. Anthony Spencer showed alot of promise earlier last year; I'm sure he's hungry to prove that wasn't just an aberration and he can stay healthy. And Ratliff at DT is a freak of nature.
Barring significant injuries, the Cowboys can compete with any team in the league, however, the media focuses on one thing and that is the win/loss ratio at the end of the year last year. I think we can all agree that had Romo, Newman, Spencer, McBriar, Felix, Barber, Witten, Roy Williams, Flozell, Leonard Davis, Kyle Kosier, Montrae Holland, etc. stayed healthy, this team would have been in the Play Offs and likely would have won their first play off game in 12 years. But, it didn't work out that way. The media, nevertheless, only focuses on the end result.
