Dak already has close 20% the number of wins as Tony. Can he keep that pace up? If he comes close we are in for a treat the next few years. And people think we're obnoxious now, just wait. They'll really hate us if Dak comes close to living up to the hype. Lol
Well,I certainly hope seeing #4 planting his flag in the #1 placement, I've hyped Romo's Q.B. numbers in big heaps around here, and that will be some slow roasted crow I'll gladly eat
( pass that Heinz 57,please.)

He was. He had a really tough competitor to try to overcome in Staubach. I actually felt kinda sorry for him when he lost to us in the SB. Randy White and Harvey Martin beat him to a pulp in that one. Scrambling wasn't really his forte and they took full advantage of it. Yikes!
Yeah. They killed him dead. He had two SB runs and threw for over 25000 career yards AND first had to compete for his job with Meredith and then Staubach...wth. l always truly believed Meredith retired early because of Morton. He has been grossly under valued as a Cowboy QB.Heck, he took the club to a SB.

Pants Comparisons that are difficult

* BK: mushroom/swiss vs bacon
* ice cream flavors: chocolate vs strawberry
* more boring to watch: MLB vs NBA (other than playoffs)
* hate more: Commanders vs eagles
* DC QB's: Roger vs Tony

Meredith had some really traumatic years in '64 and '65 with multiple injuries. In '64, he had a torn knee cartilage, sprained ankle, and a ruptured stomach muscle. In '65 he had a bad shoulder that got him off to a bad start and a divorce pending that got him to thinking it was time to retire, let alone the humiliation that he was suffering from many fans that were calling for his head. If that wasn't enough, he had a divorce pending and yup, Craig Morton was waiting in the wings to supplant him. Put all of that together, and the choice was an easy one. Most fans were unaware of all of those things happening to snafu his career -- I certainly was unaware at the time. He had a lot to deal with, that's for sure.
