Not the way I'd rank them, exactly, but it's about where I'd put our group.

I do really like that Carlos Hyde in SF, though. that's the kind of back I'd love to see us have in DAL right now.

Remember that time in 2014 before the season started and our rb group was ranked 21st in the NFL? Yeah that was fun.

The Dallas Cowboys have hosted some of the NFL's great running backs—think Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith—but since the former left town, they've been looking for a true go-to back. They found one in DeMarco Murray, when he's healthy.

The 26-year-old back has yet to play a full 16-game season in his three years as a pro, and that's a concern when you look at the depth on this roster.

Lance Dunbar was a star at North Texas but went undrafted in the 2012 lottery. He has the wiggle and shake to make defenders miss but isn't a threat to touch the ball 20 times if Murray goes down. That role would likely go to Joseph Randle.

The former Oklahoma State back has good potential to carry the rock and help as a receiver. He would be the favorite should Murray miss time again.

Ryan Williams, a former second-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals, would give fans some assurances if he could stay healthy himself. But Williams' time in Arizona was mostly spent with the training staff.

The Raiders are ranked 30th, but they released McFadden so they should probably be top 5. I saw an article that said everyone else on the team averages 5.5 ypc.

Was thinking this before. I think he is going to be competing with Davis and if Davis wins, he may be a player they would trade.

I believe they have Bush as well along with Hunter

Anybody here think the Cowboys will have the 26th best rushing attack?

Where were the Cowboys ranked this time last year?

There is a lesson in that question.

There is no lesson there.

Murray showed he had the ability. No one believed it because of the always injured narrative.

None of the guys we have have shown the ability to be workhorse backs.

Hoping to get lucky is not a winning strategy.

It's not hoping to get lucky. It's smart asset allocation.

It's like in fantasy football. If I don't get gronk.... I'll grab a tight end towards the end of the draft.

If you don't have an elite rb (Murray is not one) then grab one late (use a committee).

Also we have time and again proven that before last year Murray in precious years almost exclusively ran in positive situations.

Go check out short yardage numbers.

Is it smart if they are 20m under the cap? No

Creating a gigantic hole without a reliable replacement already on the roster is not smart

I would rather have Murray and BJones than Carr and Coleman and def over DMC/Randle and Carr
