I hope I am wrong, but I feel the Cowboys mad a HUGE mistake in letting these guys go:

Abram Elam
Matt Moore
Remi Ayodele

I felt Elam would have been able to step in and help out our ailing cornerback position with his natural athletic ability even though he is a safety. The guy was a playmaker.

Remi impressed me as guy who liked to mix it up on evey play. He semed to always play hard unlike a veteran defensive player who coach Phillips kept in the game till the fourth quarter.

And last but not least, Matt. Believe or not when I predicted last year that Romo would be our starting Qbt halfway through the season, I thought he was close to perfect. But now his footwork bothers me AND I actually saw Moore as being BETTER than what Tony was in his Rookie season with the Cowboys.

Moore seems to have grasped the mechanics of the NFL caliber game and he looked like a leader in that huddle.

Good luck to these three guys BUT more importantly GOOD LUCK to the Cowboys!

We're gonna need alot of it I'm afraid.

Is it really doom and gloom if it's uninformed?
You think that's bad? Just think about how he'll react while watching the Giants game...

"Hey. That guy reminds me of Akin. I really do miss him. :( But thank goodness we still have Remi!!!"

I liked elam.

I dont get where and when ayodele would have played. Bowen is more active than he is and can seemingly play end and tackle.

Springsteens new song sucks (and I'm a fan).

Anyway, carry on.

yes, losing these 3 curtain jerkers is a huge blow. Let's cancel the season.

fringe players dude...losing Moore is a little of a bummer, but if Romo is the answer at QB then Moore was never going to play here anyway

Elam and Akin's brother are no more than last players on a roster type guys...no big loss

Every year its always the same, somebody's pet cat gets cut and they cry themselves a river and annoy the heck out of the rest of us.

Everyone has the right to their own opinion, & you have the right NOT to read it.

I too thought we would keep Moore. He looked very composed & accurate, especially for a rookie. He also has good height-the weight will come. I don't have a lot of respect for very many former Iggles, but I do like Jaws. During the draft on ESPN, every time they would talk about the best players left on the board, from about the 4th rd. on, Jaws would make sure the name Matt Moore got in there. If Jaws was so infatuated with him also, I feel we could & maybe should have held onto him a little longer.

There were several players on the bubble that I felt could have been cut besides Moore.

I'm still trying to figure out how Elam would help the corner situation considering other than special teams he wouldn't see the field.

You might miss Elam on special teams but there is no way he helps out at corner. Moore threw some terrible passes the other night. I am actually surprised he got picked up. He should have had a couple of picks to go along with his fumble.

Not this year but same logic could have been cavalier with Tony Romo in 2003/04/05. Or Brady in 2000 when he was 4th string.

What is Moore's future?

I feel pretty good that Brad Johnson has none.

if Romo is our guy, Moore still was never playing here

like I said...his only value was if he developed (big if) and somebody wanted to trade us a pick or player for him somewhere down the road
