Other way around..either way it's a fair trade. #107 and #119 could get us back into the end of the 3rd round if we can find a partner. I don't know much about Lawrence, but it seems like we like him a lot and he has a lot of 1st round grades. He could really improve our pass rush.

There were reports that Lawrence would have been the target in a trade down from 16. He may be a borderline 1st rounder on their board.

Why does info like this get out? Now other teams have a chance to make their own moves or make a better offer to Oakland. This is the type of info that should guarded until it happens.

It does kind of make you wonder if its actually true.

Nope. We'd have to give our 2nd, next year's 3rd and approximately a 5th to get 36 (and we wouldn't get anything else back).

The roomer says our 2 & 3 for their 2 & 4 and apparently people did the math and it's pretty close.... Don't know what chart you're using.

Huh? The math is perfect on the rumor. You were asking about subbing our next year's 3rd for this year's 3rd. That's worth much less, and that's what I was responding to.

Us getting the 4th back helps, but a guy suspended 3 times in 2 years seems to not be a RKG.

How could it possibly be worth that much less, especially considering our penchant for 8-8 and with how poorly the GM in Oakland has done?

Hate to see them lose draft picks, but if you want Lawrence you have to move ahead of Atlanta

I guess they also badly need RB, so having the chance to get their top choice would be nice.

Historically, out-year picks are valued at about a full round below present-year picks. So a 3rd next year is worth a 4th this year.

That would deffinitly work for me cuz with those two 4th round picks we will have we could provably get Attaochu and Aaron Murray or Kyle Van Noy and Aaron Murray or Trent Murphy plenty of options to be happy with.

If they think they can get a difference maker with the pick, I don't think that's a bad trade. I expect a very quick and furious run on whats left of defensive line talent to start the second round. Need to get in there and get our guy.

I am hoping so. Was not a fan of D. Lawrence. NOW I AM
