Cowboys request to interview Daronte Jones, Jim Leonhard, Ephraim Banda

I'll be content with Leonhard.

I didn't expect them to pay any of the guys that have head coaching experience. So no big surprise there. Flores, Schwartz, Raheem Morris, Shane Steichen. We're not a tier 1 franchise that can afford those type of candidates.
yeah , it's not like we've been the most valuable team in sports for a long, long time , or anything.

but all in all , if Leonhard can bring some of what Denver has, that will work.

Isn't that the truth, they could Fire Schotty, Hire Harbaugh, bring in Flores/Schwartz and spend 100 mil on defense and win the next 3 SBs and several here would do nothing but complain because it's still not good enough
if that is what will win us the next 3 SB's , lets do it.. the problem is that coach name prestige does not necessarily automatically mean SB's in this league.

Jones or Lenoard I'm okay with. Better than I'd expect from Jerry, anyway. Not setting the bar too high.

Leonhard and Schottenheimer have a Jets connection. Leonhard was on the first three Rex Ryan teams as a player and understands the 3-4 base which could be where we are headed if we get the right DC

Just did some reading about Banda. Man it's hard not to get excited about him. Dudes a beast of a teacher, motivator and Elite db coach. I'm loving the list so far. Didn't know anything about any of the 3 guys, but I see why we are looking at them

If we land this guy, I have a feeling we might pry Harrison Smith out of Minnesota with him. That would be a key guy to help teach his system to the guys.
I agree......excellent point
Keep in mind Stephen Jones list LBer and Secondary as priority positions needing upgrades. I'm thinking Downs could be a top target for 12.

You can bet he grabs smith along with him. Even at his age, still darn good safety and I believe he is a fa
At this stage of his career, he wins with experience and wisdom, like having an assistant coach on the field.

Leonard is clearly the prize. Question is, can they pry him away from Denver especially if Vance leaves for a HC job? He did work with Schott with the jets, maybe they still have a good relationship

No way he leaves Denver if Joseph goes elsehwere. Denver will just promote him and his talent there dwarfs what we have.

Agree, we all have to hope that Vance fails to land a HC job.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz on why the #DallasCowboys shouldn't hire Jonathan Gannon:

"I know he was with (Cowboys OC) Klayton Adams, and it's an easy connection. ... His defenses consistently underperformed (in Arizona). I don't want Gannon as my DC, with all due respect..."
