I just hope Goodell has the common sense to consider this when deciding Gregory's case.

As a millennial (though on the older end of the generation), I feel the biggest issue with the current product are the constant commercial breaks almost anytime there is even the slightest break in action. That needs to stop. In today's age, younger viewers largely no longer have the patience for any ads, much less the bombardment of commercial breaks in an NFL game.

I'm 32, so a millennial by definition I think, and I'm glued to the TV on football Sundays. Seemingly all of my similarly aged friends are the same way.

But I work at a university, and the 20-year old student interns I have and my 23-year old coworker just aren't wired the same. They're all also big NFL fans, but are content with catching live updates from twitter and instagram as opposed to watching the whole game.

Yep. There is a massive difference between us Millennials that grew up in the 80's and 90's, and the ones in their teens and early 20's. That's why the Millennial age range needs to change, but that's a different discussion for a different section. lol

Yeah I don't get this. I'm a millennial and myself and all of my friends are huge NFL fans.

I do think the NFL would benefit from a great cowboys team that is in playoff contention every year. I love Romo and his era but the playoff births were not consistent and a lot of the reasons were out of his control. I envy teams like the Patriots, Steelers, Packers and even the Seahawks as of late that tend to be playing around this time EVERY season. NFL needs that from this franchise to put together a younger fan base, younger than the millennialist.

Millenials consist of a lot of 90s cowboy fans, I grew up watching those teams, the younger generations need more cowboy fans.

Here's an article going more in depth.

I'm an older millennial, but the younger ones don't feel the same. They have too many options besides sports, are too free spirited to plan on sitting down for 3 hours and are more into technology than sports. They have to figure out how to get them in front of the tv and it's only going to get worse with future generations.

Edit: and when I say get them in front of the tv for football, I mean at the same percentage as they drew in previous generations which hasn't necessarily been the trend.

It will never happen but if the players union likes their fancy offices and high salaries they
might think about doing away with Free Agency. Hardly I know but this is a product of FA
IMHO.

Yeah, there's an age difference amongst the millennials. The older weren't as entrenched in technology growing up as the ones born later. The younger definitely have different views on things and are more about fun and being free spirits. What you bring up probably would help them tune in more.

The Oregon Trail Generation? (I'm a year older than you, Dale).
