Arizona State defensive tackle Davon Coleman is scheduled for a private workout. "My first scheduled workout is with the (Dallas) Cowboys on April 15th," said Coleman. "After that I go to the (Chicago) Bears." Coleman is a very athletic defensive tackle with the ability to be very stout against the run and also get to the quarterback. He led the Sun Devils with 8.5 sacks, in 2013.
Apparently did not get a combine invite.
Late round gem?
Davon Coleman – one of Arizona State’s top defensive playmakers – will not play in Monday’s Holiday Bowl against Texas Tech because of a violation of team policy.
Coleman, a senior defensive tackle, was one of ASU’s bigger surprises this season, posting 8.5 quarterback sacks (which tied for the team lead) and 15 tackles for loss (second behind junior Carl Bradford.)
Sophomore Jaxon Hood – who started the season at nose tackle before losing the job to Coleman – likely will start in Coleman’s place. Hood has 16 career starts. This season Hood missed two games with an injury. He has 15 tackles, including two for loss.
