He was consistently ranked top 10 overall for the entire draft. I think it is a good bet he will be a better pass rusher than Mincey.

I'd love to see what combinations we can get on the front seven on 3rd downs....

I love to believe that but he is the ultimate boom or bust player in the draft. I'm ok with him in the 2nd round. But until he shows it in the pros I won't move him above Mincy. Mincy led the team in sacks last year and has veteran savvy. Can't discount that.

Don't know if it's worth anything, but my second cousin is a backup tackle for the Cornhuskers and I spoke with his Mom on Facebook just now. She said my cousin went up against Gregory in practice and that he is an explosive player and that the Cowboys got a big steal. And that she and my cousin have met Gregory's family many times. Apparently my cousin has helped Gregory a bit in practice cause he is very very tall and good in pass pro. Didn't mention any red flags at all, but she is very extremely super religious and wouldn't talk bad about somebody (and neither would her son, I think). Even still, it was cool info. I don't want to say their names because it feels wrong to betray that convo...

As well, she said Ameer is a true gentleman and is dating a Canadian, so that's cool too.

I don't watch college football much these days so I don't know a whole lot about him. Shouldn't a DE be in the 270- 290 lb range? He sounds like he's too light to be a 4-3 DE, more like a 3-4 OLB if he bulked up some.

Not the Weak Side DE in Marinelli's scheme.

Charles Haley weighed 255 and I've heard him say that he was as low as 245 during the season.

Robert Mathis 245.

Yep. He and D-Law on opposite ends for years to come sounds
amazing. Just has to keep his head on straight. I'm confident he will with Dallas' solid foundation around him and the help of our support team.

I love the pick!! He surely has that explosiveness look in him. In fact, he looks more like a linebacker than a DE to me. Never thought this kid would last up to 60 and all of the analyst say that to get him would be a steal. I'm actually a bit shocked that we got him where he was.

I think he'll change his life around. He publicly stated that he was wrong to smoke the pipe and that he learned his lesson. Not many football players go out and publicly state what they did wrong and apologize for it.

Hes gonna have to put on some weight. He will be situational pass rusher for now. Great value though at 60
Apparently he was up to 258 during the college season. Got down to 235-ish for the combine.

He said in his interview that he plans to put the weight back on. Weight will not be an issue.

What other choice did he have? He said what his agent drilled into his head.

Choice? He always has a choice. Like I mentioned at least he stated an apology publicly. I don't see many of the potheads in the NFL issue an apology openly in public and could be an honest attempt in fixing the problem.

I heard where in a few if his visits he was under 230 and has problems keeping on weight

Wooooo! Top 10 talent at pick #60. Yes, he's got some issues, but we have a solid foundation in Dallas and I trust the Cowboys did their research on him. Great pick at a position of need.

Going to agree with Gaede here, being I am from Nebraska lol. The Two seasons Gregory played as Cornhusker he has shown him self to be very disruptive to the opposing offensive line as well as a explosive player. I am glad the Cowboys were able to draft him and cant wait to see him in a Cowboys uniform lol
