Not hammering this pick, but I really think we could have upgraded at DT and should have done so. I'm now thinking that the team may be seriously undervaluing the position.

Me too,we don't have anybody to push the pocket.

If the Ravens won with Justin Forsett, the Caridnals won with Andre Ellington, the Lions won with Joique Bell, the Colts won with Trent Richardson, Patriots won with a new RB every week, why would we crash and burn with a committee of Randle, McFadden, Dunbar, and/or Williams running behind an elite offensive line? And if we're in such fragile shape, what makes you think taking -- let's see -- the 12th RB in the draft would save us?

Great point.

Of course many will feign blindness when they start to read it.

It is another good player pick.

We seem to find good talent and fits.

But then there comes that tricky thing of figuring out how they fit on the roster with what is there.

I don't hate this player.

I hate the idea we feel it is now okay to start picking up special teams LBers like we have the rest of the roster set.

We have seen that same idiotic mentality the last time we went to the playoffs.

And there are lots of very productive tacklers. He could be the next Hitchens for all we know.

My question is his fit on the roster and what bang for the buck they will get out of this pick.

If they are not concerned about our current LBers that they needed to do this, I wonder why they would have our starters on the roster at all.

I could have rationalized players like McKinney and Kendricks because they were high level players that could have been more in a short period of time.

This is a special teams player with a Hitchens ceiling.

You do not take that with what was left on the board at this stage in the draft.

So reach and draft for need. Or your idea of need. Gotcha.

Because the god of RB's left for the Eagles.

we are going to crash and burn putting all of our faith into McFadden. I like him, but jesus

I couldn't have said it any better myself. Its beyond the point of being ridiculous now.

One injury away from our team being completely FUBAR. Its turning into the 2010 season all over again where Jerry didn't address our line and we lost Romo for the rest of the season.

Time to change your handle bro, unless you plan on being an eagle fan in the future. Get over it, the man is gone and we won't miss him once the season starts. Our RB committee is more than enough to get the job done. I'm sorry you can't see it now but you will... you definitely will.

I like the pick, the FA LBers that were signed many were 2 down or sub package LBers. With Lee's injury history, McClain's pyschological, concussion, suspension issues, the only guy on our roster that is a "proven" commodity is Hitchens. If Wilson can play all 3 positions and be like Hitch I think its a great pick. What is the over/under on how many games will be missed collectively by the "starting 3" of Lee/McClain/Hitch, I am going to say 10.

Yeah, it does have that odd feeling to me as well. I just can't fathom DMF as our starter here after we dominated with the run game last year. People are undervaluing the job Murray did last year and overvaluing our Oline. Sure, our Oline is good but they aren't miracle workers. Do the Cowboys know something we don't know and have a plan to get a vet QB or something?
