Hearing some Miles Austin trade chatter, just not sure he really has much, if any, value, especially with that cap number.

His cap number isn't that bad for another team that doesn't have to take the additional 5M in penalty money.

I think he might have a bit more value than people realize...he played every game last year and had nearly 1000 yards. Might be worth it if we can fetch a 4th for him.

Cap number and injury prone = no trade value

I don't agree. This is passing league, and some teams are desperate for Wr help.

You mean, didn't play...there were some games he left out

If traded, the new team would owe him:

2013 $6,732,000
2014 $5,500,000
2015 $6,888,000
2016 $11,380,000

The new team would owe him Zero guaranteed money unless they restructure his contract.

Here's the problem.....who's going to be the #2 WR if Miles is traded? Please don't tell me Dwayne Harris. Unless we're going to get Mike Wallace, we need to keep Miles.

I am disappointed with Miles to an extent also, but I think they should wait one more season to see if Dez has finally turned that corner for good.

Now, if there is Wallace or someone in the plans, then go for it but I would hate to see Dez go down to injury and no Miles on the team with Harris and Beasley as the 1 and 2.

If Dallas can swindle a 2nd rd pick for him now, do it in a heartbeat and take our chances.

I would rather keep Miles and redo his contract.. I think Miles is better of serving Dallas than to be traded. Also who do we have on our depth chart that can really push Miles at this point ?

What would it do to Dallas in terms of salary cap?

If Dallas were to trade Austin I would guarantee you T Austin would be a Cowboy

And Wallace wants $11-12M a year, heck even Greg Jennings thinks he's worth $14m.

I am the biggest Tavon Austin homer there is on this board...but he is not really the type of WR that the Cowboys covet.

Patterson in the draft.

That's a Jerry move all the way. Who can't see that happening?

He played in 16 games. Sure he got nicked up in a few...whatever. That happens to just about every player in the league.

While I agree that it is annoying how he gets dinged up so often, its hardly like he's tearing his ACL every yer. And, he's still very productive.
