Trading him is crazy. But if the GM decides too, it darn better be for more than a 2nd. He is a top WR in the league. A WR1 on most teams. And worth a 1st plus more.

I'm of this mindset. You aren't horribly far away if you can easily identify deficiencies, and they are 90% on the Defensive side of the football. You can't rebuild an entire team everytime you take a Loss.

He would definitely be a team cancer if he had to play on franchise tag. If we can get a 2nd, that would be a steal. A first, i highly doubt because he would be a FA after season and a first is a high price to give up, so is a 2nd but a first is steep

This is exactly where i'm at with this. i don't trust the GM at all. You have a proven elite young talent. Keep him. And before anyone talks about having 2 big $ WRs on the roster not being ideal. Well, please show me when these bozos have actually built anywhere close to a well-balanced roster in 30 years? Do everything you can to keep Pickens.

We do it like we did Micha. Give him permission to negotiate an extension with new team before the trade. He can’t be a team cancer on the tag because he’d kill his own market value for the following year. We have him by the proverbial cajones
