Cowboys should consider trading Pickens

Trading him is crazy. But if the GM decides too, it darn better be for more than a 2nd. He is a top WR in the league. A WR1 on most teams. And worth a 1st plus more.
Too bad he's got a rep for being a head case. Even for a WR.

By your logic we are headed to the Superbowl this year with Pickens.

I will speak slowly for you. You referenced my post about trading Pickens for draft capital. You sarcastically referred to how we are a few drafts from a SB. My point is we are much farther from a SB by not adding draft capital. Try keeping up genius.
We are also further away without Pickens. If he's as good as he seems to be we could trade him for even more in another year or two if it'll help get us to the SB.

I think he's the one that fell and hit his head, maybe he's talking to himself?

Nope.

We have money & 4 first rounders the next 2 seasons.

Getting rid of Pickens would be bad. Hes a game changer.

His skill set is also the perfect compliment to Lamb.
I just don't think there's anyone brave enough to mention the phrase 'All-In' to Jerry....
.....go on Jerry blow your kids inheretence, after all Stephen's going to make a hash of it once you're gone.

I'm curious what the compensation would even be I've never seen a player trade for a higher pick than the previous trade. We would be lucky to just get a third rounder.
What did the Bills give for Amari? A third, I think?

Yep, trading Pickens is tantamount to wasting Dak's extension. If two $30m WR's is what it takes then pay them.
We've got the resources to expedite a Defensive rebuild.
Agreed. We're going to have a bounty of first round picks; dedicate all of them to the defense. Stock your defensive roster with young--cheap--talent. Sign Pickens and you essentially lock up your offense for the next two years. You've got the QB, OL, WR1, TE locked up, and you've proven that you can go cheap at RB.

Gotta keep him at this point, If you're paying Dak give him the weapons. Spend both first rounders on defense, get Overshown back, someone convince Jerry to sign some real free agents on that side of the ball.

Yep, add in the fact that one of the strengths of this year's draft is the D-Line (which makes me wonder if we keep Clark, or cut him saving a further $20m), it may even be beneficial to trade up possibly using one of the 2027 1st RD. I'm also not adverse to flipping a first in a trade. Just try something different.... maybe even that mythical beast (I think they call it Free Agency)...tick tock Jerry.

Pickens is a solid WR2 and once Lamb comes back the offense will be better than it is right now. Considering the four first round picks the FO have to work with over the next draft they can focus more on the defensive side of the ball. After that, the Boy will keep on winning.

I said NOTHING about pickens or a super bowl. Had NOTHING to do with anything I said, "genius".

Yes...let's get that draft captiol for sure!

We need another TE in the 2nd.
