If Revis goes back to the Jets - Cro should be the first player we sign .

Despite his age he's still 10xs better than what we currently have: a collection of stiffs.

I would bet he goes to the Jets to join Bowles. He and Revis could get the old gang back together in New York.

Another major contract tied up in the secondary? NO!

Spend the money on the trenches! You win from the inside out, not the opposite.

Agreed. A good D-line that can put the pressure on a QB and force him to make quick and/or bad decisions will do miracles for a secondary. I know....sterling analysis.

Board members still grasping for players in the "high rent" district instead of searching in
homeless shelters like Will McClay. Keep moving down the list fellows.

Yep, needy teams overpay for players at the start of FA....prices will drop off 3-4 days.

It's true. We all saw first hand fixing the O line brought dramatic success. Now let's work on the other side of the ball, in the trenches.

i Think he would sign for a decent deal we need to sign him. Were most likely running with the same d next year minus 3 lbers.

His father, Stanley, and I are lifelong friends but I haven't spoke to him in awhile - let me do some digging.

Not arguing with you but Cromartie wouldn't be an upgrade with our pass rush. Carr is just as good and IMO better.....

Cromartie is a hot mess. I wouldn't touch him. No, he isn't better than Carr or OScan.

Some of you guys... Free Agency hasn't even started yet and some of you clowns are acting like it's over.

Yes and no. A good QB will negate your pass rush with a quick drop and a quicker release. That task becomes exponentially easier when you've got JAGS at the CB position. Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Tom Brady have been using this method for years to measured success.

Yes a pass rush helps your CBs and Ss but the premise that a good pass rush completely negates the need for top shelf secondary play is patently false.

I wasn't meaning that it completely negates the importance of having a good secondary, I'm just saying that it makes their life much, much easier.

I agree, good quarterbacks will find a way to beat a good pass rush. I'm just saying if you have a bad pass rush, it's really hard for your secondary to hold their coverages for a long time.
