Eagan (5'11, 183) caught Dallas' eye at the Senior Bowl, where he was a last-minute addition and they were his coaches. Prior to that, Eagan left Northwestern State with 10 school records, including career receptions (177) and receiving yards (2,228). He boasts a 4.43 second forty, but has some stiffness in the hips that manifests in subpar acceleration out of breaks. Eagan's clearest path to the final roster is to impersonate Cole Beasley best he can and excel as a returner and special team maven. And you better believe he gets that. "They all say that special teams is going to help me stick to a team and not just get picked up or drafted but actually stick to a team," Eagan said. "It's going to be special teams. The difference between me and a lot of other people is that I can use do special teams but I can contribute in the slot too."

Says Tim Dwight ran a 4.63. How is that possible dude was lightning in a bottle

In 1998, client Tim Dwight went to the combine with strict instructions not to run his 40 or attempt any drills. He was nursing a severe groin injury from the season that was taking a long time to heal. However, once the reigning Big Ten 100-meter champ arrived, Tim’s adrenaline and competitive juices got the best of him and he decided to run. The result was his worst 40 time ever: 4.63 seconds. Horrible! The projected third-round speedster was taken in the middle of the fourth round.

Why have a Cole Beasley imitation when we already have the real thing? He adds nothing to the team that we don't already have. I wish him well and hope he has a great training camp but I don't seeing him staying here.

He is really nothing like Cole who is super quick in and out of his breaks.

I'm not going to be a Homer and say negative things about signing Eagen just because I love what Beasley brings however, our Wide Reciever play was very poor last year. No one stepped up in any of their roles. That goes from playing outside/slot/and ST. Yes yes the QB but the the difference in talent that drops from Dez to our other WR core is tremendous. What adding Eagen or any player for that matter is push these guys to be better rather than stay complacent. Eagen brings in another person who can play the slot and also either start or backup the KO and PR. I love that competition.

Because you're always looking to improve the roster. Beasley is entirely expendable. If this guy can do what he does or better for cheaper/younger, you make the move.
