Jason Garrett loves his slogans, stamping his mantras on T-shirts for all to wear. The catchphrases – Hah!, We do, Attack, Fight, Finish the Fight and 17”, among others – are well worn by players at The Star.

Every slogan contains a story that Garrett tells before issuing a new shirt.

This year, players have a T-shirt bearing the words: Re-commit.

“I think you have to have that approach,” tight end Jason Witten said via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “You just can’t allow yourself to say, ‘Hey, we’re going to pick up where we left off.’ That just doesn’t work in this game. You’ll get exposed individually and collectively as a team if you take that approach. I think it’s a good mantra to have, to re-commit."

I think this year's slogan should be, "What Would Risen Do."

Heck, I'd buy that shirt.

Hopefully Butler, TWill do not "Re-Commit" some of their bonehead plays, hopefully Witten does not "Re-Commit" his usual one false start a game....

I kid...about Witten anyway.

If you act now and buy the Clap Clap shirt, Garrett will throw in the little juicer. Wait there is more the first 1000 callers will also get a free set of ginsu knives.

Garrett needs to grow up. If he would spend as much time learning to game plan as he does on stupid shirt slogans maybe he would go farther with an all-star at many positions than 1 and out.
This team is growing stronger in almost all areas except Head Coach. Garrett takes his position with zero urgency/pressure, is not getting better, and his ineffectiveness is starting to show.
If we win it'll be in spite of, not because of Garrett. shirt slogans? really?

So, the players learn, "Hey, if we choke at the end of the season, we have to wear slogan tshirts for the next year!"

I think their shirts should say, "Grenade!" because they seem to only get somewhat close to the Super Bowl these days :D

Other options ..

"Almost!"
"Missed it by that much! --Agent 86"
"Participation Trophy"
"The Falcons went to the Super Bowl and all I got was this stinking tshirt"
"22 years later ..."
"Fight the Curse!"
"Regular Season Champions!"

.. or give them a blank shirt and tell them they have to earn the slogan :)

How about

Dump Jerry!!!!

Not a fan of this tactic by Garrett... "Finish the Fight" was as solid a mantra as you could have hoped for (if you're into that kind of thing), and the momentum, culture, and team chemistry were all aligned for success and they still fell short lol.

Following that up with "re-commit" is so lame it isn't worth commenting on save to say that Garrett needs to reach MUCH deeper into his bag of motivational tricks to inspire the team.

Re-commit...

1.to commit again.

Meaning we had to quit in the first place...Sounds like the Green Bay loss in the playoffs.

2. to refer again to a committee.

Sounds like the Jerry /Garrett way to failure....no one can make a decision....so let's do it by a committee. Jesus. Can someone have a set of balls...and just make the right choice? I'd burn these T-shirts as soon as possible and come up w/ a new slogan.

What a horrble idea. Does anyone really sit down and even think these things through????
